There was a Lido deck employee who diligently enforced the policy 2 weeks ago. They sticker the empty chairs with the time to monitor how long they have been empty

Just booked the 2/16/19 Journey cruise on the Glory. Besides the length and unique ports, how are they different? Are they more formal in terms of the MDR?

They should but I would have gone with general Cruise Cash or charged my onboard account to the card and erased the charges that way using points.
Thanks for the info. I agree general obc is better but the points I had left were only enough for either bar cash or photo cash. I'll just have to watch it as we use it.

Another Breeze vote. It's the better itinary in my opinion. I loved the Breeze, but have not sailed AOTS.

so I didn't buy cruise cash from the fun shops, I have the Carnival MasterCard. I cashed in points for general OBC, but had points left so also got some bar cash. Is their system smart enough to use the bar cash for drinks and not pull from the OBC?

the hub app says 2 days 18 hours! Hello Vista B2B. I'd better start packing!

Been on both twice and loved them both. If you like the itinary of both ships, I would go with the breeze. newer and more dining options

hmmm. I've never had one and don't really know the mechanics of the procedure, but seems like it could be a moneymaker for the ship.

the only way I'd do a West coast cruise would be on a new ship with the amenities the Panorama will have, but it's still highly unlikely.

if you do inside cabins, I would go with deck 9 aft. Just one deck up to Lido and so close to the 24hr pizza

We always cruise within a 4 week window (feb/march). Liberty x2, Freedom x2, Breeze x2 and Vista once. I don't think the Vista was any more crowded than any other ship we've been on. In my opinion, you can't beat the food options on her.

It appears you will receive platinum benefits during the first leg, even when turning on the 2nd leg of B2B when on the same ship. It should also say it on your documents, it sounds like after you have made final payment.

thanks for linking to the other threads. I didn't even think of searching for similar posts.
guess I didn't need to buy FTTF for the first leg (but I like spending extra for things [emoji3] [emoji3]

Hello,
My wife is hitting platinum on the 2nd leg of our upcoming B2B (she's a cruise ahead of me) but when I printed our boarding docs, she shows platinum as of the first leg.
I would have thought platinum would not kick in until the 2nd cruise, am I wrong or is it a glitch on Carnivals side?
It's not a huge deal either way except with the 14 days at sea, she is looking forward to the laundry perk.

Hello, the excursion if booked with Carnival comes with transportation to and from Mystic Mountain. You board a large van and you are packed in like sardines inside the secure fenced area of the port. You are let off at Mystic Mountain where there is several other things you can do once you get to the top like the bod sled and water slide. Also zip lining is up there. Very beautiful area. Would recommend taking some mosquito spray or repellent band. They will tell you mosquitoes are bad and will offer to sell you a band for $5 at the entrance to the lift. There were performers at the top doing a tribal type dance and playing music and a very good restaurant above the shops. Also there is a nature walk and humming bird area with some exotic humming birds flying all over the place. You can stay up there as long as you like and then come back down. Buses ran at 15 and 45 of the hours. Drivers were friendly. Also they will drop you off anywhere you want along the way, Some people got off at the main street market area. I thought for the price offered on the website it was worth the money. Drinks at the restaurant on top of the mountain are very cheap costing and delicious. Also they were cooking jerk chicken on some bbq grills which smelled amazing.
Thanks for the info!

We'll probably never do a balcony (can't miss what you've never had) unless we do a European or Alaskan cruise, but your pics are great and wil be helpful to those considering one. Glad you enjoyed it!

we'll be on that itinary in a month. In ocho Rios, you did the chair lift at mystic mountain? how did you get there, your own taxi or as part of an excursion? Thanks for taking time to review your trip!

Unlikely that they would cancel a cruise for this reason. Very likely that they will continue working while sailing.

They are usually open on sea days, so weather or a maintenance issue are the most likely reasons for them being closed

It did not seem like a big deal to us to check in on 5 before going to the dining room. 2 times we went right when they opened and once at 7:30. We never had to wait.

I've not been on the Glory, but have been on her sister ships. I would go with the Vista. In fact we are with a B2B in 6 weeks. We loved her last year and can't wait to be back.
That said, I'm thinking of doing a journey cruise on Glory next year. Really you can't go wrong.

don't do balconies, but always book Lido interiors and never a noise issue.

I believe on my recent cruise they were showing Toom Raider before it was showing on land theaters. But they were a week late on black panther
