While Celebrity & Royal has always been our favorites, we die a couple Carnicals and a Princess over the past yr and I amsad to report that these lines have also cut back on quality, or maybe this is just Carnival’s regular quality- unsure because we only did one other Carnival years ago but the quality in the Main Dining room was far below what what we experienced on Celebrity. I think ALL of the cruise lines have cut back on quality ESPECIALLY in Main dining, most notably in their beef/steak quality.The big teller is sauce on everything. But I agree that Celebrity has priced themselves out of the product they deliver so we are not sailing with them until they match.if I am going to get inferior quality I might as well pay less

That is really a great idea & will recommend to my daughter. If I may give some old lady advice to young women, always listen to your gut, if something feels weird, do what you need to get out of the situation, don’t be embarrassed to not get in an elevator or jump off when you see people, don’t be afraid to ask ship personnel for an escort to your room. Have a great cruise, you are in my favorite ship!

Hoping you all have a wonderful time, we are not booked til June and I have been anxious, I can’t imagine how anxiety provoking this has been for you all! I do wish Princess had been more transparent and forthcoming with info but am sure we will all have great cruising experiences which will make up for all the uncertainty, can’t wait to follow your live review!

I understand young people like the slides but why can’t they leave one without? To remove this beautiful view which that ugly slide on all of the Oasis ships is so short sighted. If I bring our grandkids I can go on Carnival if I want a slide or any of the other Royal ships but 99% of time it is just my H & I , Allure is our favorite Royal ship and Fort Lauderdale our favorite sail away port so will be sticking with Celebrity for most past once slide goes up.

That’s what I was thinking about our cruise from Alaskan to Canada but it’s not til June of 23; so things may change by then. What has me more confused is the language in the ArriveCan below, so we fill it out twice and when??? We will fly to Alaska, cruise from their to Canada, spend a couple days in Canada… You must complete your ArriveCAN submission before entering Canada, no more than 72 hours of boarding your flight or before entering Canada by land. If you’re flying in to join a cruise immediately, enter the address of your terminal. If you’re not joining the cruise immediately, enter the address of your hotel. You must also submit a second ArriveCAN submission no more than 72 hours before boarding the cruise. This applies even if your second ArriveCAN submission is within 72 hours of the first submission.

Wow! Looks like Robin needs to get a life. Seriously!

Well I guess I am prepared to get hit by both extremes, yes it is rude & ridiculous for people to put items on chairs early in the morning & not even come down to the pool till noon, yes it is inappropriate to leave your chair for over an hr while you go shopping or take a nap but I find it equally as inappropriate to take belongings off of a chair that has been idle for 15 minutes. What are you doing, sitting on a chair with a stopwatch? If I want to get in the pool for 5 or 10 minutes, then go to the bathroom and stop by the bar to get a drink b4 returning to my chair, I would expect my clothes and towel to be on my chair when I return and if I knew who removed them, they would find their belongings in the pool! Some people have no life and appoint themselves the chair police. If I see saved chairs with no one sitting in them for hours and people are looking for a chair, I would tell them that no one has been there for hours and it would be up to them to alert staff to decide how to handle it but that’s it. I am having way to good of a time to notice who is in their chair and how long they are gone for the most part.

This may just be my experience - I have booked dozens of cruises over past 28 years, all but one with the same online travel agency. Every single time I have come out ahead. I first compare price & perk with booking directly with cruiseline. A couple times I benefitted from booking directly with cruiseline when they were offering great deal and then transferring to TA for extra OBC & sometimes free Specialty dining. I do notice that when the price drops the people who booked directly with the cruiseline can get refund but price drop never ends up dropping below the price I got from my TA. I find it unusual that it works just the opposite for hotels, I always seem to get best deals when I book directly with hotel rather than any TA or outlet. With flights I always book directly with carrier as well. I have seen so many people have nightmares when booking flight/hotel with agency, travel discount site, etc.

I completely agree, the positioning is worse than any regular lounger, why would anyone pay for this location? For the life of me; I can’t figure out why whoever is in charge of this design would think anyone would pay for this? I would happily pay for one with an unobstructed view of sea.

That is from Celebrity -on Royal website it still says On boarding day, guests may bring onboard two (2) 750 ml bottles of personal wine or champagne per stateroom in their carry-on luggage.

Do you have to buy bottle on planner b4 cruise or can you purchase once on board? Is it same price? I have drinks only in casino just for me & they say daughter can’t buy Cheers unless I buy too so we were going to see if she could purchase Cheers on board just for her and if not a bottle of Ketel.

Have you ever done Maya Chan Beach in Costa Maya? We really enjoyed it!
