  1. Thank you for all the responses ,answers seem to vary from cruise to cruise. This seems to be true on various issues like boarding experience, cabin service, etc.
  2. On recent cruises was there a Mariner reception on boarding day was it limited to a certain level?
  3. On our vacations, the hotel is basically a place to sleep, with most of our activities outside the hotel. Cruise is entirely different, the ship is a major part of the vacation experience. cutbacks here are far less acceptable.
  4. If group is large enough, they might take over part of MDR. On one of our cruises late set seating was not available.
  5. Small containers of cosmetics, toothpaste, shave cream, etc. If possible,, some old underwear that can discard, minimize number of shoesAt our age, mandatory medicine.
  6. Sherri, were you wearing a belt during the scan? Think your bra was the issue? Suspect some TSA personnel might be more strict than others.
  7. Enjoy thefixed time, table for two, same wait staff. Prefer the late time, more tie to get ready for the evening, usually go to a happy hour.
  8. Another vote for Lands EndWould you consider tankini style? Like the advantage of different size for top and bottom. They can still be quite modest.
  9. Took a relatively similar cruise in mid Sept., 2015 on Veendam.Idea was to see some fall colors. Ha! it was 90 degrees in Boston, and relatively warm everywhere except Quebec. Still had a good time. Happy Anniversary, have a wonderful time. Always enjoy following along with your interesting posts.
  10. If still interested, look at deck plans to see what would be above you, hopefully, cabins.
  11. Woolx shirts--Did you wear a bra or t shirt underneath or are they thick enough not to show anything?
  12. Did you enjoy the massage? Have found that all the therapists are female feels more comfortable. On land usually massage the gluts, restrictions on ship might be stricter. were you ok with level of exposure?

  14. All above good advice. Boarding questions seem to be second to covid related issues. Boarding experiences seem to vary from cruise to cruise.
  15. Lois, cannot help you with the drug decision, believe Kaiser is limited to their facilities except in an emergency.Good advice making sure your medical services accept the insurance you select.

  17. 80 views, no response suggests most of us do not wear those garments. This does not answer your question, would pantyhose work? Would be far more comfortable.
  18. Like ones with no back strap, you can slip them off under dinner table to rest your feet. Just a thought f your feet start to hurt.
  19. Purduemom, thank you for the answers.Expect i will be attending a memorial service in August where highs hit 110-116 degrees. Church will have a,c., but you melt in the car before ac has an effect.Will be in Palm Springs. Leaning toward a fairly dressy sun dress that has a jacket. At least it will not be humid.
  20. Recent catalog from Lands End featured many maxi skirts and dresses , either sleeveless or very short sleeves.Are you seeing a lot of theses in your home area?
  21. Mary, is that dressing area inside locker room or outside near sauna?
  22. Might depend how modest everyone is--can you go from towel to clothes in the room, not the bathroom? Believe the locker room is available without the spa package.
  23. Lois, so very sorry to hear this. did trip over this step one time, suffered only a bruise. Are you using room service or going to one of the restaurants?
