Renting an apt is a great idea. Luckily my daughter and son in law bought a house with an in-law suite. We stayed in it twice and the privacy and comfort were wonderful. One time when our 15 year old grandson came in, I asked him if he needed anything. His response was priceless " I just want to hang with you". Music to our ears. In reality I know he probably wanted to get away from his parents and sister. Fine with us.

OMG Helen, your pictures are amazing, especially the one I quoted above AND the duck store is awesome! Anne Frank Huis must have been very emotional. Keep those fabulous pictures coming if you can. Wishes that you and Marty have a fabulous time on shore and on board!

Good news your "kids" found a rental. As far as amenities, when our daughter lived in a 2 bedroom townhouse, when we visited, we slept on a pull out couch for 2 weeks and had minimal closet space, almost no drawer space. We had a powder room (toilet, sink) near us so that was a plus. Only one full bathroom so we had to be patient to wait our turn for showers. They'll be fine and you will be too. I can imagine the excitement and anticipation in waiting to see them again.

Sorry this happened to Andrew again. Hope he heals quickly.

Debbi, we were very concerned when our daughter as a small child didn't eat enough to, we feel, stay alive! Her pediatrician assured me that she's healthy and that a child never starved in a loving house filled with food. I will never forget that. She grew into the beautiful young woman she is today. @Luckynana Way to go William and Ryan! AND Happy Birthday on Tuesday, Maryann! May all your birthday wishes come true.

Slightly off topic from the OP question but does the soda package only work at the freestyle machines, or does it also include soda in a regular glass at the bars, dining venues? Freestyle machines might not be located close to where I am when I want a cold drink.

I woke up to bright sunshine, another 100+ day here in the Dallas Metroplex. 103-105 temps for the next 8 days. We break the 100+ streak on Friday when the temp dips to 99.

Dentist is due to return from vacation tomorrow. First available appointment is a week from today, Monday. I can live with this for the time being but will call my regular out of network dentist if it flairs up. I know he'll see me immediately.

Good news, indeed! Wishing her a smooth recovery with minimal pain. I can top your "not looking forward" day. I have a toothache and have to see a new dentist. Changed plans and my usual dentist isn't in-network. I once had a friend who always "topped" me. If I broke a nail, she broke 2. If I had a cold, she had the flu. If I had a sprained wrist, she broke her arm. If I had 2 exams in one day at school, she had 3. You get the picture. I hope I didn't sound like her! Hope your day goes by without much stress.
