  1. 3/4 time - Kangas 10.4.64 v Swans 11.7.73 Match is at Marvel Stadium.
  2. Swans are playing away to North Melbourne (Kangaroos) this afternoon. I've just came home so have missed the quarter time scores. 1/2 time - Kangas 5.3.33 v Swans 7.7.49
  3. Lyle, sorry for the delay in replying to you, but I didn't see your message. Thank you yes, we have both recovered although it being cold and miserable in Melbourne most of this week, we have had running noses in the mornings. But have both tested negative. I had heard of the rebound covid but didn't realise it was to do with the antivirals. Your milkshake sounds amazing, although should that be thickshake? We're looking more at hot chocolate here! I hope the smoke from the fires dissapates soon. We last had smoke from fires in summer of 2020-21 and it was horrible. Last weekend and Monday, we had beautiful, mild sunny days and both sunrise and sunsets were amazing. This was sunset at our local beach on Monday and no I didn't take the photo.
  4. We have stayed at Meriton Suites in Campbell Street which is convenient to the light rail/tram line on George Street. Having cooking and laundry facilities was great.
  5. Linda, we didn't have Paxlovid, we were prescribed Lagevrio capsules. We will keep a watch for rebound covid and hopefully we'll be ok.
  6. The anti-virals were amazing Linda, they seemed to work almost straight away. My symptoms were slightly worse than Rob's in that I had a horrible cough as well as sore throat, runny nose and ocassional headache. But the cough went fairly quickly. I was negative five days after testing positive.
  7. Sorry Terry, it's behind a pay wall for me. Is Phillip Island, Victoria on the list? It is world renowned for its Penguin Parade.
  8. Thanks Linda, we are fine now. Fortunately we were prescribed anti-virals which shortened our symptom and positve times.
  9. I went to our library and obtained four boxes a few weeks ago but have used a fair few as we have both had Covid in the past couple of weeks.
  10. So have I as an Essendon supporter. The Crows are doing well so far this season.
  11. As Yarramar asid in his post, the drive to Cradle Mountain is over 4 hours, Google maps has it is 4.5 hours to 5 hours. That could be close to 10 hours of travel for your 15 hours in port. The time it takes for the ship to cleared for passengers to disembark could be anywhere from 30 mins to an hour, so perhaps an another hour used which would only give you 4 hours at Cradle Mountain. The only tours I could find from Hobart to Cradle Mountaine left at 6am and were 15 hours long. You could hire a car, if you are confident enough to drive on the other side of the road to go to Freycinet National Park. The tours I could find leave at 7.30am and are 11 hours long.
  12. Of course, even if tipping is not required or expected, if you have exceptional service and want to tip feel free to. Australians tend to for example if in a restaurant, the bill came to $97, we might round up to $100.
  13. Full Time Swans 13.8.86 defeated by Freo 16.7.103
  14. Swans playing Fremantle at SCG - 1/4 time Swans 3.1.19 v Freo 1.1.7
  15. This photo is of stinger suits that will be provided either free or for a fee by the tour boat operator. They are made of lycra and will usually have a hood.Your face will be mainly covered with a mask and your feet with flippers.
  16. No, you will not have to pay anyone for service unless you want to. The price of drinks will include tips/gratutities as will specialty restaurant charges. Gratutities are not included in fares for US passengers, it only applies in Australia and NZ.
  17. Are you on a cruise? If so are you stopping at Tauranga? It is close to 3 hours to travel to Rotorua from Auckland but only around an hour from Tauranga. You would be spending 6 or more hours travelling to and from Auckland to Rotorua and only 2 hours or so from Tauranga.
  18. The fares on the Princess website are in AUD. Yes, the fares from ports in Australia and NZ include tips/gratutities.
  19. Oops, I misread the times for Cairns. Still there not early enough to take train to Kuranda, the 2nd and last train leaves Cairns at 9.30am, so it would have to be Skyrail from Smithfield to Kuranda and then train back. GBR - all day trips tend to start around 8-9am. With the ship not arriving at Yorkey's until 9am will restrict what excursions could be taken. Last July while staying in Cairns we went out to Green Island for a few hours which started at 10.30am. A couple of things to think about for this cruise - it will be the wet season, hot and extremely humid and also it is stinger season. Stinger Season
  20. Home by myself tonight so picked up a chicken and mushroom pie from the local Coles deli. Very tasty.
