Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I am assuming the 2x 50 is from ncl through our group planner. Others in the group have the same- followed by “non-refundable” I will assume that it is also non-refundable.
  2. On our upcoming 7 night Joy cruise we have been issued our Shareholder OBC (1x $100 per cabin on board credit) and additional OBC (2x US $50 on Board Credit certificate per cabin) Neither is listed on the invoice as “non-refundable”, although I know shareholder has not been able to be used in the casino (even at the bar there- found out the hard way a couple of weeks ago). How can I tell if the other OBC can be used in the Casino? Will it show up differently on the app once onboard? Thanks for any clarification- I have scoured the NCL website for any official word…
  3. Thank you, all, for recommendations. We will be on Explorer and I did verify that 4V cabins are identical to Freedom that we just disembarked- no space at foot of bed between desk and couch as some showed in pics. I don’t want to split beds on an anniversary trip with hubby, but like pushing it against the wall and putting both side tables on one side. Our ABC sailing has only one accessible room available- I considered this option, but do not feel right taking this space that might be needed by somebody requiring assistance with walking. I did many roll, shimmy, jump, dive moves on a recent shorter cruise, but some did not end well and nighttime visits to the bathroom ended in me wide awake from the effort 😂 I just truly found it to be a ridiculous response from customer service after an almost 2 hour call with 90% of it being on hold!
  4. We cruise interior cabins- better sleeping, better cost… I recently had surgery on my hands and am unable to crawl into bed from the end. Did not realize the couch and desk touch the end of the bed so can’t enter from the side. I spent 3 nights wiggling, jumping, walking on my knees to get into bed, but I can’t imagine doing this for 7 nights on my upcoming cruise on EOS… When I called RC to see about other configurations they offered me a balcony for more than double my cost OR…. Told me to go straight to Guest Services when I board and request that the couch and/or desk be removed from my cabin!!! Has anybody ever really done this- they seem affixed to the room!?!
  5. Yellow line on pier= don’t cross it. Get out of the way of the shuttles (I think one honk and accelerate should be acceptable). I am most bothered by any person that mistreats the staff- they did not cause your problem and are not paid enough to take your verbal assaults. First timer or pinnacle, interior or suite, 20 or 80- doesn’t matter… the world does not owe you perfection. The young person working that desk from war torn Ukraine, that sweet guy that is missing his family from the Philippines serving you, and that awesome Grandma from the Bahamas that is working to send money home for their grandkids’ school uniforms are ALL on your side- they want you to be happy! Treat them with kindness and respect!
  6. 4 years ago :::gasp::: when we were on our last cruise, we purchased a little cooler bag with 4 or 6 beers, and it was cheaper to bring the bag back to purchase more beer. I still have the bag, and am wondering if this program still exists. Recent cruisers? We will be on Freedom in January and Explorer in April if that makes a difference.
