The trip is really wrapping up now, today is the last full day of the cruise as we go to FLL port of entry to the United States. What we liked and what when wrong, I’ll start with the negatives first. 1. Running out of supplies, mainly food items that should have always been on board. 2.Ordering a drink in a dining room and they have to go to a bar outside the dining venue. 3.When you drink a non-alcoholic wine, they have to go find it-how easy would it be to have it available like anything else. 4.Not controlling the crew announcements in your room. Believe it or not they couldn’t find the Ass’t Cruise Director—all of the sudden they make an announcement in every room over the speaker system looking for this Director. 5.How far the bathrooms are from the dining rooms. 6. Being able to hear the washing machine in our suite, which is a high end suite. 7.Service was a little slow at times, not enough staffing. 8. Dress code, either have one or don’t. This cruise did not follow the code, jeans and other attire was OK. I’m OK with both, just do what the people want. 9. Rude guest, and those that felt being loud and demanding was OK.. What we liked. 1. embarkation was really easy, but we only had 40 people getting on in Cartagena. 2.The staff, how professional and friendly. 3.Food in general was good, not the best-some hit and miss-but generally good. They do need to work and the dessert’s fair at best. 4. Asking for something, they really try to work it out. 5.Medical team, good group of professionals and the clinic itself was put together nicely. 6.The ship nicely done, feels like a High End Resort. That’s about it, if you have a question let me know.

Believe it or not, WI-FI when out for most of the day. They didn’t say anything about it at all, after a few phone calls they confirmed it was out. They said we will let you know as soon as the problem is fixed. Well they didn’t, nothing—we just tried again in the evening, now it’s time for dinner. I’m going to come back with the good and the bad….a few of both.

Thanks, happy you are enjoying it.. Cartagena is a fabulous place to visit, it’s just so hot in temperature. But we had a great stay before the cruise and a couple of days when the ship stopped on the way back.

The pool area—-people and the staff really friendly and the staff sincere when wishing you a Happy New Year. Most people didn’t make it for breakfast on the 1st, we didn’t either-at lunch we were told very few guest for breakfast.

New Year’s eve was fun, I was a little surprised how fast the Silver Note emptied. One would think with the music you take your time and enjoy the night, at about 10:40PM you only had three table taken, at 10:45PM only two-one was us. However about 20 minutes to midnight the pool deck started to fill up. You think the ship would have sounded the horn at midnight, but no-just recorded music and a small balloon drop. The Silver Note, remember the chocolate swan dessert. Well it looked better than it tasted.

This about ends the story as we only have two days left on the ship. We disembark on the 4th of January, as are in no hurry-we’ll be the last to get off, we have no plane to catch. The plan is to stay a few days and haven lunch n and dinner with a few friends. So I don’t think it will be that helpful as the crowds and pushing will be over. We don‘t have too get off the ship until 9:45AM, so we ordered a car for 10:00AM. We’ll get off the ship, go through customs and wait if need be. But if something happens I’ll let you know.

Sure, they call it the Chronicles. This the one we got tonight January 2nd, so it’s current. Hope this helps you for what you want.

Just wanted to thank all those followed this review and WISH ALL OF YOU A HAPPY NEW YEAR. As this trip comes to an end soon, we had a nice cruise. We had a few miss happenings, but over all it was nice. New Years on the Nova was fun, people and crew mixed during the celebration.🍾 I’ll follow up a little later………

Great idea, we started having all laundry folded a few days ago for easy packing. I hate getting home with dirty laundry.

We are in 7097, in the office area of our suite you can hear the laundry room noise. Not loud but you do her it. Any other part of the suite no outside noise.

Really nothing at all stated about the naming. When we were on the Silver Spirit after covid it just happened that we ere the first ship to arrive in Hong Kong. You’d think it was a new ship, full press, nice goodie bags for everyone. We’ll be out to sea tonight for New Year’s eve, one would think they would be in a Port—that way you’d have fireworks at midnight.

Thank you, we’ll be dining and celebrating at the Silver Note tonight. Should be fun and I believe they will be doing something on the pool deck. No matter where you’re celebrating my it be fun and safe—-we need a to look forward to 2024🥂!

Same hear, we saw something awhile back January 4th—but nothing since that time. One would think that would say something since a lot of people are staying over night at hotels. We’ll be staying two extra nights near the FLL airport. Having lunch and a dinner with friends. Sorry I have no information about it. Have a great cruise…………

In Cartagena like I said we spend sometime in the bird sanctuary, here are a few photo’s. It’s really a nice place to spend sometime before going back to the ship. When leaving the ship you really have no choice to get out of the Port-but usually you’re in a hurry so you don’t really see it. Well something is going wrong with wi-fi as I can’t up load a few of the photo’s now.

Just a little fact, we took the Otium Suite because of the outside spa/jacuzzi. In the renderings.that Silversea put out it shows the jacuzzi very low and easy to get into. In reality it’s very high and extremely difficult to get in if you have any disability. However, once in, it’s very comfortable and relaxing. the Jets are extremely good and does the job, getting out is another chore. I will say if you look at the brochure today, you’ll see the current Jacuzzi. We do enjoy the aft of the ship, to us it’s really nice suite to be in….. Sorry the one upload failed and can’t get it delete it’s square.

No not at all, you look over it. In my opinion the view is spectacular from our deck, we’re on the seventh floor.

I didn’t post a few pictures at the cooking school in Cartagena. So here are few of the local dishes we did. The green doos is The Sky Kitchen Cooking School. Most was too much work for the dish. The little pockets, one with chicken and one salsa. The other dish was a shrimp dish and the fish dish was wrapped in a leaf, like a banana plant leaf-but it’s from a water lily and grill fish. Dessert really was a waste of time, Ice cream. The next day at the Port that have a bird sanctuary. We spend the day people watching, however they have flamingos, parrots, toucans, Koi fish, turtles, squirrels, and even some monkeys. The monkeys were really cute however, looking close at their face they look scary and mean.. if you had any food, any of the animals were brave enough to come up to you and take what they wanted. I have a few pictures I’ll include later.

And if you use a handicap restroom and the door doesn’t lock, you’ll be sitting in full view when the door opens.

It’s really a walk over 300 meters from La Terrazza. The other night (true) a lady was running from inside the Salt restaurant, well maybe walking really fast. You’ll be surprised how far they are away when you have the need. And the doors an electronically, you need to open with a hand wave—and it opens slowly. Good Luck!

The BEST and the Worst on Nova……….. The BEST beside Service is the pasta, no matter if your at dinner or the lunch buffet you can’t get better pasta. I don’t know how they do it but they never fail you when ordering pasta. The Worst-how far away the bathroom rooms are from any restaurant on the ship. (with the exception of The Marquee).

Last night we had dinner at SALT. We started with a fried dough cheese bread, it was OK but nothing special. After that we had the soup, it was so good we asked for the recipe. Next we had the Fish of the day (halibut) with vegetables and a side of mexican corn. The halibut was a bit on the tough side and luke warm at best, both the vegetables and mexican corn was cold. The bread they service excellent with garlic flavored butter. The dessert was a custard and nicely done. I guess one or two bad meals isn’t bad considering we been on the ship for about 18 days now. Like a told you at the beginning of this journey I tell you how we see it………
