  1. Yes, we were aware of the change. We definitely preferred having the dedicated Princess employee handling the Loyalty program onboard. We have discussed this now with several HGM's. They have advised us that the concerns have been passed up their chain of command with no changes expected in the near future. We keep mentioning our concerns in our post cruise surveys. 🤷‍♂️
  2. Having spent a couple of summers in Europe, we now avoid that part of the world during the summer months. Too many places do not have AC and it can be sweltering hot! No bueno! 🥵
  3. Sea Day #2 and Cruise Day #26. Weather continues to be windy and it has definitely become cooler. Seas are "bumpy" with occasional big bumps! We have the MTG luncheon tomorrow at noon in the Harmony Restaurant. We are not impressed with the Loyalty and Events Host. Two nights ago, she called our cabin asking if we were attending the luncheon as we had not provided a RSVP. We informed her that we never received an invitation and had stopped by her office several times inquiring as to when the invitations were to be delivered. And, she originally told us that the luncheon was to be held on May 6th, now the date was May 5th. Last night we met up with friends (they are #2 most traveled on this cruise) and they too did not receive an invitation. I think they are too consumed with selling cruises and not that interested in their most loyal customers. Oh well, I know first world problems! 🤣
  4. Below you will find a two page list of the current "discounted" voyages (20% to 50%) being offered on the Majestic Princess. However, the catch is that they will not tell you which ones are 50% off. You have to pick a voyage and a cabin type that you are interested in and then they will quote you a fare for that cabin. They very clearly stated that the fares/discounts fluctuate "daily" based on the occupancy at the time they check the fare. Sounds like a shell game to me! I'm going to pick out a couple of voyages and see what kind of discount they offer. It feels like playing roulette!
  5. The one year expiration applies to when you apply the deposit, not related to the date of your cruise sailing. You can apply a FCD to a cruise two+ years in the future.
  6. For cruises up to 44 days in length.
  7. May 3, 2024 9:30 AM EDT Princess Cruises Sails to Prime Viewing Spot for 2026 Total Solar Eclipse in Europe Sky Princess Departs Southampton on August 8, 2026; Bookings Open May 23, 2024 FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., May 3, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Astrotourism is top of mind for travelers making special trips for phenomenal experiences in the sky—and with the recent "take-your-breath-away" total solar eclipse, thousands of cruisers onboard Emerald Princess and Discovery Princess off the coast of Mexico caught a glimpse of the astounding total darkness event. Princess Cruises Sails to Prime Viewing Spot for 2026 Total Solar Eclipse in Europe (PRNewsfoto/Princess Cruises) The next, not-to-be-missed total solar eclipse takes place on August 12, 2026, and once again a Princess cruise ship will be perfectly positioned, this time in northern Spain, to witness this bucket list event - two minutes and 18 seconds of totality. The 3,660-guest Sky Princess departs Southampton August 8, 2026, on a 14-day Mediterranean cruise, highlighted with total eclipse viewing while the ship is in its path at sea off the coast of Spain. "The best way to see a total solar eclipse is via cruise ship, and our guests who recently experienced this rare occurrence on Discovery Princess and Emerald Princess were simply blown away," said John Padgett, Princess Cruises president. "We make it easy for guests to come aboard, relax and meet other eclipse enthusiasts. It's truly a special opportunity." The Total Eclipse Sky Princess Voyage goes on sale May 23, 2024, with rates starting at $2,199* per person. During the eclipse, Sky Princess guests will gather on the top decks with Princess safety glasses for viewing, as well as enjoy lectures from astronomy experts, themed treats and drinks, stargazing at night, solar system trivia and more. This incredible, 14-day Mediterranean cruise sailing takes place August 8-22, 2026, roundtrip from Southampton (London), and visits seven historical and vibrant ports, including: Cherbourg, France - one of France's greatest ports with art and history museums, its basilica, the Ravalet castle and the Cité de la Mer maritime museum. Bilbao, Spain – located in northern Spain, Bilbao is surrounded by green mountains and is the de facto capital of Basque Country, with a skyscraper-filled downtown. It's famed for the Frank Gehry–designed Guggenheim Museum Bilbao. Malaga, Spain - famous as Picasso's birthplace and the gateway to Spain's Costa del Sol, Malaga mixes warm vacation vibes with Andalusia's indomitable spirit. Cartagena, Spain - founded by the Carthaginians around 220 B.C., the city boomed during the Roman period. Among its many Roman ruins are a 1st-century B.C. theater and Casa de la Fortuna, a villa with murals and mosaics. Gibraltar – this British Overseas Territory and headland is located on Spain's south coast. It's dominated by the Rock of Gibraltar, a 1,398-foot limestone ridge. Lisbon, Portugal – the capital and largest city of Portugal, Lisbon is mainland Europe's westernmost capital city and the only one along the Atlantic coast. La Coruña, Spain – in the Galicia region of northwest Spain, it's known for its Roman lighthouse, the Tower of Hercules, which has sweeping coastal views. "Our recent solar eclipse cruises were completely sold out so interested guests should book this Sky Princess cruise as soon as it opens on May 23. It truly will be an experience to remember," Padgett added. 8. Good morning Sea Day #1 of 6 and Cruise Day #25! It is very windy and seas are choppy. I hope it is not like this all the way to Vancouver.
  9. We bring HDMI cable for the back of the TV and the below adapter for my phone. You can use the toggle at the bottom of the TV to switch input to HDMI. We now bring the below universal remote to switch inputs ($9 on Amazon). Make sure TV is on a "Live" channel or bridge cam before switching input. The most difficult part of the operation is getting the HDMI cable hooked up to the back of the TV. Once hooked up, we leave the HDMI cable connected for the duration of the cruise (last photo).
  10. Today we racked up some serious mileage. After spending the day shopping in Waikiki and having a great lunch at the Paia Fish Market (our favorite!), we walked to the Ala Moana mall. After visiting a number of shops, we walked aaallllll the way back to the ship! We made it back to the ship at 5:30 pm. Needless to say our feet were a bit tired. We showered, ordered room service, opened a bottle of Shiraz, and hooked up Netflix! ¡Buenas Noches!
  11. This itinerary is usually only offered in the Spring and Fall.
  12. On our recent Med/TA on the Enchanted, we dined at The Catch five times! It was fantastic! We are currently on the Majestic and had dinner at The Catch twice and will dine there again in a couple of days. Our favorite dish, the Nicoise Salad!
  13. We finally made it through CBP by 9:45. Line moved fairly quickly once you were in the terminal. In Waikiki, weather is perfect! Debbie's first stop of the day. She has been biting at the bit to shop. I think I'll be carrying lots of bags by the end of the day!!! 🥺
