  1. Belle - congrats on winning (even if you have to pay taxes!)

We have had such a mild winter that we thought it was spring for months now .... unfortunately last night it snowed and it is a winter wonderland again.

I weighed myself this morning and unfortunately I am up from the last time I weighed by 4.2# - Hopefully it will come off soon.  Good luck to all this week.  Jan

  2. Good evening - we arrived home this afternoon ... had a wonderful time and enjoyed spending time with family.  My DS unfortunately came home with covid (so far no one else is positive - I will test in a few days).  I did a lot of walking, but also had a few (or more) drinks daily and dessert.

I will weigh myself on Thursday.  Now need to lose weight for our cruise in July to Norway and the Fjords.

Hi everyone. I’m Cathy, and I’m doing my typical dash to lose weight before a cruise. I need to do it year round, as my health is not the best these days, but I’m grateful for the extra motivation a cruise always provides. Thanks for letting me participate!

Welcome Cathy - we are always here and all are willing to be a cheerleader for others ... hope you lose some before your cruise.  When is your cruise?  Jan

  4. Belle - Enjoy your cruise.

Izena - congratulations on the loss and that your blood pressure is under control.

I am here with 2 kids and it has been fun, but interesting!!!  I have been eating anything and everything since Sunday ... might weigh myself tomorrow ... think I am up.  We leave next Thursday for our cruise and will be back on the 11th.

Hope all have a good week.  Jan

  5. Good afternoon everyone!!!  I did weigh myself this morning and I am down 1.8#  I am very happy ...

I saw my oncologist 2 weeks ago and talked to her about my kids saying that they believe I have alzheimer's as I have been repeating myself and asking the same questions over again.  The doctor decided to take me off the anti-estrogen for a few weeks as it is known for causing dementia symptoms.  I can now remember why I went upstairs and I know where I left my glasses, etc.  They are changing the prescription to something else.  Hopefully that one works well.

I didn't answer questions from last week - On Sunday my daughter leaves for a 5 day cruise with her DH and without kids ... We will have the kids.  Then on the 29th we leave for Nola for a few nights and then on a Western Caribbean (Roatan, Costa Maya, Cozumel and Harvest Caye on NCL with our son, his DH and his mother-in-law.  Looking forward to it - they are a lot of fun to go cruising with!

Hope everyone has a good day.  Izena ... hopefully you will have a better loss next week.  Jan

Everyone is doing great?  Not worried about Super Bowl eating? Don't watch? Don't eat?

Belle, I am having my youngest over for a early dinner/late lunch on Sunday .... We will be doing our "on-line check-in"  I'm so excited about this cruise.  After dinner and when they leave DH & I will be watching the superbowl - I will try to be better at posting .... Jan

  7. Terri - glad you had a good time with your daughter and that your lunch was worth it!!!!  I am spending Saturday with my daughter shopping as her birthday present ... we will do lunch.  (she is doing weight watchers, so I think our lunch will be good point wise.  They are going on a cruise without their kids in a few weeks (I wonder who has the kids for a week?)  Yikes - Jan

  8. Thanks for starting the thread Belle - Glad you are having a good time on your cruise.

my kids mama - nice that clothes are fitting better - Hope you have a wonderful time on your cruise - I have never been to New Zealand and Australia - You'll have to let us know how your cruise goes.  I just love pasta carbonara ... that would be my downfall also.

Weighed myself this morning (amazing that I remembered).  I am the same as I was the last time - so I am happy (I had some chocolate one day).  Jan

  9. As usual didn't weigh myself this morning - I had to go have a bone density test .... just to see if there are any changes - I'm not worried.

Izena - getting a letter from IRS can be panicky!  For many years (20?) I did volunteer tax through the them.  It was great giving back to the community.  I stopped doing them when covid hit and I started noticing that my brain is changing .... the pitfalls of getting older!

Hope everyone had a good week.  Jan

  10. RobinCruiser - congratulations on losing weight - 3# is wonderful.  I went to a weight watchers meeting once and it wasn't what I wanted.  I find that I do the best if I just count my calories and then stop when I reach my daily amount.  I just can't seem to get motivated to really do it!

Izena - glad you posted and that you are doing a little better.  Good that your dog still wants to walk.  I've never had any side effects from the bp meds I take ... hope you get that worked out (and your cataract surgery works out well).

The weather in Maine sucks!  But, so does the weather in most part of the states.  We are having a snow storm right now, but they say it will turn over to rain with higher winds.  So many people have lost shingles, etc.  The only thing that is nice is that it isn't getting dark here until after 4:15.  Looking forward to spring!  Jan

  11. Belle - glad you are enjoying your cruise.  I hate having to change cabins, but it is better than having to leave the ship!!!   Hope you are winning!

Izena - glad you checked in - sorry about the roof.  Hope that everything goes will for you and for jazzper.  Jan
