  1. Belle this year is just flying by!!! I've been eating ok - Did have a few drinks last night (Friday's is date night). Exercised yesterday ... not today, but I need to go out and spend sometime in the flower garden, so will count that as exercise. Jan
  2. Izena - I am all packed. We leave next Wednesday (fly out of Portland Thursday) get on the ship oon Friday. I am so ready!!! I'm glad to say that I am down 1.4# this week. I would love to lose another # before our cruise. Then I will only have 10-40# to go. Hope everyone has a good week. Jan
  3. Izena - sorry that you are struggling! The weather is crazy everywhere - I believe it has rained here every day for the past 45 days (except for 2 days when it was in the high 80's). Hope it starts getting more manageable in Texas. I weighed myself this morning and I am down 0.8# - I would like to lose 2# before our Alaska cruise (probably won't) and then hopefully I can get some motivation to really lose!!! Hope everyone has a good week. Jan
  4. I finally weighed myself (after breakfast and coffee) - I was the same that I was the last time I stepped on the scales! I'll take it!!! Jan
  5. Good Morning - as usual I forgot to weigh yesterday ... perhaps I will later. Don't think I gained much, but don't think I am down either. Hard to be motivated right now! Hope everyone has a good week. Izena sorry about your power loss and your headache!!! Hope things start getting better. Susan - Nice that you were down ... enjoy the grands!!! Jan
  6. MTNest93 - How exciting that you hit your cruise weight goal!!! That is truly amazing. Our 1st cruise (and we thought it was a once in a lifetime adventure) was for our 30th anniversary!!! First time I ever bought a long sparkly dress ... I hope your cruise is magical and that you decide to enjoy many more! We have cruises booked for the future, up to cruise 32 and will be celebrating our 50th anniversary in August. Jan
  7. Belle I'm glad that you are having a good time cruising with your daughter. It is on my bucket list to do a Europe cruise. In 2025 we do have a transatlantic cruise (Portugal, Spain, France, Italy). Hope the rest of your voyage is as lovely .... congrats on being one of the "most traveled". Enjoy!!! Jan
  8. Finally weighed myself this morning and I am up 0.2# ... frustrating, but it isn't too bad. Hope everyone has a good week. Jan
  9. As usual, I forgot it was Thursday until after I had breakfast - I will try to remember to weigh tomorrow. Izena - Nice that you are back on track .... sometimes old photos can be a great motivator. MTNest93 - Staying the same isn't bad ... I'll write more tomorrow - Jan
  10. Belle, hope you feel better - enjoy the time with your daughter. I know what it is like to not have any energy and to be tired all the time - Alabaster Cruiser - 1# is wonderful!!!! I would love to be down at least 2# by the time our cruise starts! I am down 0.6# this week - I'm very happy with it. We leave for our cruise to Alaska on 7/13 - looking forward to it. I have all my "stuff" packed, but DH is another story. Hope everyone has a good week. Jan
  11. Welcome to the group Sebsgran - Congratulations Susan for having a loss. We will be having our youngest grandson next year while his parents go on a "kid free" cruise. Looking forward to it (he will be 2 1/2 but know it will be a challenge! I finally weighed myself today and I am the same as last week - at least no gain! Hope everyone has a wonderful week. Jan
  12. Belle - thanks for starting the thread. Sorry you aren't 100%, hope you get there soon. I didn't weigh myself this morning, perhaps tomorrow. Jan
  13. Belle - Hope you are feeling better today. I finally weighed myself and I am the same as I was the week before. I'll take it ... just glad there was no gain. Hope everyone has a wonderful long weekend. Jan
  14. Everyone seems to be doing well weight wise!!! So sorry Belle that you aren't feeling well --- hugs to you and I hope you are soon on the mend. I did not heed the advise - forgot to weigh before food, so hopefully I will weigh in tomorrow. Good luck to all. Jan
  15. Interesting week for all! As usual, I got up and had breakfast and then decided I didn't want to weigh myself after eating food! Perhaps tomorrow I will. Hope everyone has a lovely week! Jan
  16. I finally weighed myself (last time I weighed was 4/28/2024). I am now down 1.6#. I was surprised and am very happy. Today I had a mammogram and everything came back normal ... this is a good week. Hope all who celebrated had a nice Mother's Day and that everyone is having a good week. Jan
  17. Hi - I'm so confused with dates ... I didn't weigh myself last Thursday - perhaps next week. Izena - DH is doing ok ... he is not the best of patients, wants to be able to do everything "now" --- He was hoping that he could at least have me drive him around so that he can supervise what people are doing at his work. That hasn't worked out - he is sleeping in his lounge chair in the family room. Tried to sleep in bed last night - but couldn't get arm to do anything. Doctor said everything was shredded, but they managed to fix rotator cuff - could not fix bicep. I managed to bend over wrong and I pinched my back and it is sore. Went to PT that DH knows and he said one leg was shorter then the other and my sciatic is pinched (I might be repeating myself from the last time I posted). Can't bend and only relief is if I stand in the doorway and stretch my back ... lasts for about 20 minutes. Life is interesting ... but my problems are nothing compared to Ken's hurting!!! MTNest93 - You are doing amazingly well - congratulations! Izena - I am so sorry for everything that you have been going through - hopefully things will get better - hugs to you! Hope the week is good for everyone. Jan
  18. We helped our daughter paint her son's bedroom in the house they bought. Will need another coat tomorrow DH said he would finish the room. The kids will be moving furniture in this weekend. They have spent this week at our house - has been fun, but looking forward to a quite week next week. DH is having surgery on Monday. Back the beginning of February he severed two tendons to his rotator cuff and he is having them sewn back on. Also his bicept has a tendon torn that needs to be reattached. They said two weeks of being down .... he says two days ... we will see what happens ... they are going to suggest all sorts of meds for pain. It is going to be a beautiful weekend here - hope everyone has a wonderful week. Jan
  19. As usual I did not weigh this morning - Perhaps tomorrow. I don't think I did well ... had a few snacks here and there! Thanks for starting the thread Belle. Hope your week was good. Jan
  20. Weighed myself this morning and found my cruise weight was gone - So, now I am the same that I have been all year. I really need to get motivated. Good luck both Belle & Susan on home remodeling/repairs. There are some things I would love to get done at my house, but not sure if I can live through the mess!!!! Jan
  21. The problem with being retired is forgetting what day it is!!! I will weigh tomorrow, but think that my 2.4# from the cruise is still hugging my body. It been a ok week here - I still have been having a piece of chocolate daily. Need to get more active. Did meet with my trainer yesterday and will see her again tomorrow. My daughter and family are moving out of their apartment this weekend and have bought their first home. They want to do some painting, etc before they move in - So starting Saturday we will have 4 extra people at our house for a week. Perhaps I will lose some weight ... or I might end up cooking a lot. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Jan
  22. Belle - I ate 3 (very small) reeses peanut butter cups today - I need to stop. Difficult to get back into the swing of things after a cruise. Our next one is the middle of July so I really want to be down a pound or a dozen pounds. Hope everyone is having a good week. Jan
  23. I'm back! We had a wonderful time with all the kids. We did a lovely vow renewal and everyone cried (so it was a sucess!). The cruise director was the one that did the renewal and she was lovely - even she cried. We spent a lot of time together - I think we had dinner together every night except one. I just loved watching all the kids interact. My 8 year old grandson was terrified of doing certain things before the cruise - We did caves in Bermuda - he was not a fan, but got through it. We also did dolphins and he was terrified before and ended up wanting to do it again as he had a wonderful time - he has now asked when we can all go again. Numerous people hid ducks all over the ship and seeing how it was spring break for schools in the NE there were tons of kids that found them - my grandson was so happy with kinding them! I'm sure I am up a few pounds or more. We ate alot, drank alot, but we also walked alot and were actie most days (I did play in the casino, and I think I came home with more than I went with.) We got home Friday night and on Saturday afternoon we had two policemen at our front door. My DH's sister passed away that morning at home in her sleep in Michigan. It is very sad. We are now trying to get a hold off family members. Hope everyone has a good week - Jan
  24. We are leaving early Thursday morning to go to Boston for our cruise on Friday - I will not be posting any weight loss tomorrow (probably won't have a loss). I will touch base with everyone when we get back. Izena - I owe you an email - I will catch up with you when we get back. To all - I hope everyone has a wonderful week. Jan
