  1. If you have your own wheelchair, do you have to push it on the ship and up the gangway OR can you transfer the passenger to a Carnival wheelchair for boarding?
  2. Thank you. Yes, vegetables can be well-cooked and that is pretty easy. I appreciate the info about the maitre'd and I'll look for the form. I eat beef or chicken but with no spices or sauces.
  3. I have a high sensitivity to spices and cannot eat any fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, or any dairy products due to the possibility of bacteria. I'm thinking this may be too challenging. I'd really like to cruise, have cruised before I developed this issue, but never cruised since this issue. Should I just forget it and cancel OR do you think I can find a suitable menu while cruising? Anyone have experience in this arena?
  4. I am truly sorry this happened to you and your family. I do know RCL has a care team and you might ask RCL if there was supposed to be someone assigned to you and your family to assist you through your process which I'm sure would have been a great relief to you and your family.
  5. I'm sorry that happened to you but yes, travel insurance is a must. I'm surprised to hear RCL did not have Care Team support for you during your stay and provide support assistance (not pay for) to you. I am aware they have very good Care Team training and support and I'm sorry if that was not provided to you. Hopefully your husband is recovering nicely.
  6. Guest Services onboard said I would receive an email copy of my account within 3 days...that never happened. Two separate emails with nice "auto" response but again, no copy of account. Finally phone call to RCL resulted in email copy of onboard account (handled very professionally by agent). Spa charges are questioned because I was given two treatments as a birthday gift so I did not purchase directly and I did not have the receipts (but now I have obtained them from the gift givers) Contacted RCCL and again, two very nice agents that each transferred me to another number where I was finally told that I needed to email the spa directly for any questions relating to the charges in questions. I have done that and received a very nice auto response. Hopefully they will be able to resolve.
  7. I was asking "how to dispute" as I have the two receipts and I did have only two treatments. A $95 charge from spa is listed on my account for??
  8. How do I dispute a charge after the cruise and after my credit card payment was completed. It took me a while to get a copy of my bill, 2 emails and finally a phone call that resulted in my copy. On the ship was told that an email with charges would be sent within 3 days (that never happened). So now is it over a month since my cruise and I'm still dealing with trying to get this issue resolved. Any advice?

  10. Finally got a copy of my bill from RCL. Since both of my spa treatments were gifts, I didn't have a copy of the payment but am working on getting it as it appears I am being overcharged approximately $95. Since I can no longer see the Spa menu, maybe someone with a current reservation can look at the Spa choices and see if there is an upcharge for specific days and/or times. I do know another cruise line will advertise a price and then when you select a time that is where you see the upcharge. Since I did not pay for nor select time, I can't confirm this to be true on RCL. Does anyone know?
  11. -Still waiting for my email copy of my onboard account. Sent a 2nd request. As of today, 2/7, nothing. I hate to think this BUT if they overcharge every account by even $5 that is some serious change!! Once you pay your credit card charge I don't believe there is anything you can dispute AND I fear you will never get anywhere with RCL if you are challenging any amount on your card. REMINDER: Check your account BEFORE you leave the ship. I believe you can only do this on the APP as guest services won't provide a hard copy. Once you leave the ship, the app info cannot be accessed. Lesson learned!
  12. The reason I asked is because I just got off RCL Allure and the casino was open when they were at their private island but I guess Princess Cay is really part of Eleuthra and that is the reason they wouldn't be allowed to be open...just guessing.

  14. No smoke would be a plus. Just got off RCL Allure and they have a separate non smoking casino however it is relatively small but it was really nice being able to breath and not smell of smoke
  15. Update - got a lovely email saying they received my request for email statement. As of today, NOTHING.
  16. Caribbean cruises have a lot of "outdoor" on-ship time where British Isles can be very cold but IMO it is worth it!
  17. Is an automatic gratuity added to special dining? I've experienced on "another brand" where the person providing the service stated an automatic "service charge" is automatically added but not the gratuity. I felt I was conned into giving them an additional tip and I just want to know other opinions. I don't have any objection to giving a direct "in hand" tip to someone that provided exceptional service.
  18. Checked spam regularly and "nothing".....! I just need to see what happened with my spa charges. Two treatments, one with receipt that stated "service charge" and when I asked she said that was a "vendor charge" and NOT the tip. I added 20% for tip but now realize I was "had" as the second treatment next day, no receipt and she told me that tip is included. Both of these treatments were prepaid gifts.
