Great cabin! There is a door connecting the room on the right, but we didn't hear anything from that cabin the entire week. This location is right around the corner from the hideaway which I was worried would be noisy, but it was quiet.

The fundraiser or event has something to do with Miami nonprofit groups, from what attendees said a couple of hours ago. All with Visitor badges.

 

My husband and I were first taken on arrival to the coordinator who checked us in and suggested we have a seat with my service dog in a small lounge. It got fuller and fuller, louder, with the party folks, and a rather big man stepped on my dog's tail. Never heard that scream come from - Lab before so I know it hurt.

 

So we moved out of the lounge (which was small so could not hold all those here for their event) and are in a doorway niche hidden away behind a batch of the party goers. So we may never get on board.:)

oh your poor dog 😔 hopefully we start moving soon, i'm sure we're all tired and hungry

Yes, both 6235 and 7270 have bed by the balcony

 

One way of telling is looking at the deck plans. If a stateroom is marked with a triangle (upper berth) or square (fold out sofa bed), that stateroom has bed by the bath. The neighboring stateroom has bed by the balcony since they alternate bath/balcony/bath/balcony, etc.

Staterooms 8252, 8256, and 9292 have the largest of the angled balconies and have the bed by the balcony. Stateroom 8254 and 8258 have the bed by the bath and have large balconies also, only a foot or so less in depth than the others.

 

I would go for a 1A for the $40, but you must chose bed position - bath or balcony. I personally prefer bed by bath so would chose 8254 or 8258.

how do you know if your stateroom has the bed or sofa by the balcony? i am currently in cabin 6235 on the celebrity reflection and i am thinking of changing to 7270. i'm hoping that 7270 has the bed by the balcony.

I am booked on Reflection 6235, port side. Is this a concern regarding smoke or noise from below? Thanks.

I am thinking of booking this room - how was your experience with the noise and smoke? Did you have lifeboats or anything obstructing your view outside the balcony?

Thank you so very much for posting these. Now I am trying to locate the menus so I can plan when to go to specialty restaurant.

We just got off the Independence today and took pictures of the menus (with exception of day 2 which was the first formal night). Once we're back home and settled in we'll upload them.
