  1. Think you might be referring to their streusel or strudel bread. I love that and just returned from Allure. Had it for breakfast each day in the MDR. It’s almost raisin bread but has more fruit, especially cranberries, almonds and orange. Excellent! Our waiter referred to it as cranberry bread.
  2. No canned soda - fountain soda - drink packages. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/booked/beverage-packages
  3. Drink packages do not include canned soda. You may find an occasional bartender who may give a can, but all packages specify fountain soda or freestyle machine soda.
  4. If he is sharing your cabin and buys the deluxe alcoholic package you will have to purchase the refreshment package. Refreshment package includes soda, bottled water, specialty coffee, smoothies, virgin drinks, fresh squeezed juice and more. Your five free drinks are not a package. You could have him just purchase his drinks individually. Don’t forget you can use your free drinks for bottled water to take on excursions - they don’t have to be five alcoholic drinks.
  5. You can tell the staff that she is not allowed to sign herself out.
  6. 12 pack of soda or water, 17 oz or less, can mix and match. 2 bottles of wine 750 ml. These are per cabin and have to be in carry on luggage.
  7. Contact Special Needs Department for complete instructions and information.
  8. cabins have a cooler - it’s not a fridge. Coolers are meant to keep soda/wine chilled, etc. they are not a true fridge. One reason they are not recommended for milk. If you need a fridge for medical purposes the Special Needs Department can assist.
  9. There used to be in-room babysitting. Staff looking to earn extra money. They used to send staff in pairs to babysit, even if only one child. This was discontinued several years ago (way before Covid).
  10. Stopped using $2 bills a long time ago. Considering that a clerk at a local Walmart wouldn’t accept - she had to call a supervisor to confirm there was such a thing - would not try to give to an employee on a foreign flagged cruise ship! They are not play money - but many people think so!
  11. I would tell them the day before and then remind them when they take dessert orders on the night of the birthday.
  12. If you tell your dining room waiters they will bring a dessert with a candle and sing happy birthday. No additional charge. If you want something more elaborate, you can order a birthday cake (full cake) and they will bring with candles and sing. There is a fee for the cake.
  13. We’re the reservations linked? You don’t pay extra for connecting cabins. You can try calling, but don’t know if it would be successful, especially if the reservations were not linked together.
  14. Deepest sympathy on your loss. My husband passed away suddenly and we had a cruise planned in approximately 6 months. I decided to go on the trip. When I called RC to cancel his reservation and switch to a solo trip, they were exceedingly kind and compassionate. I did speak with the Crown and Anchor representative, not the general number. I was prepared to send a copy of the death certificate, but he said no need - he found the obituary on line. I assumed the reservation would be more expensive - the agent said no. He canceled my husband, refunded all monies, and left my price as it had been with no solo charge. He even gave me my husband’s military discount. Needless to say, I was very grateful. I went on the cruise solo, and have cruised solo since then. One reason that I am “loyal to Royal.” They were very kind and compassionate. This was 8 years ago.
  15. Frequently. People often can’t add/change people to a cabin based on muster station capacity.
  16. Usually every cruise is different. It depends on the ages of the kids on board.
  17. You might get more definite comments if you mention what ship you are sailing on so people can comment on what their kids enjoyed. for example, my grandkids enjoyed Oasis class, Voyageur class and Freedom class became of the ice shows and ability to ice skate.
  18. Yes. Guest services can take care of very easily. They can make extra keys. Make sure you have the correct key (Seapass Card) tied to the credit card that you want. just FYI you could have booked the kids in a cabin close by - they don’t need to be booked with an adult.
  19. You might get more of a response by changing your subject line - D+ is not relevant to your question.
