  1. Thanks all. Am cruising with MSC in December just for a 3 day cruise in order to check out the yacht club. Have been on MSC before. . I think since I have plenty of time, I will renew my passport just in case I need an emergency exit. Am only going to Nassau and MSC private Island. Its not like I am going to 5 different countries.
  2. I know awhile back, one did not need a passport to cruise Bahamas if leaving and coming back to the same U.S. Port. What's the rule now a days? It has been years since my last cruise. I booked a December cruise out of Port Canaveral and do not have a up to date passport. TIA
  3. My steakhouse price listed for my cruise starting tomorrow is $42.00. Am tempted somewhat but will still be happy with the MDR food if I do not cave in and book the steakhouse.
  4. Heading out on the Freedom Saturday for a 5 day cruise. Was wondering how the steakhouse food on the Freedom has been lately. $42 is not too bad....as long as you get good amount and good quality....
  5. About $165 a night pp for Yacht Club inside cabin is a good deal. Question is, what did it cost you in losses from the casino to get it? LOL
  6. For current and somewhat current views of YC, go to YouTube AND type in MSC Yacht Club. Many videos have been done. Current ones and older ones. I tend to view the 1 year or less vids due to all the changes. Enjoy!
  7. Thanks but that did not work for me. Keeps saying error has occurred. Try again later or words similar. I give up. I will find out when I check in on at my next cruise in January I guess.
  8. Ahhhsooooo. There ad is very deceiving. Guess unlimited access means sure come and look, but to play, you pay down your fun pass card to 0.
  9. Can anyone explain where I can find how many points I already have? Web pages just leads me in circles with no info that I can see about my points. TIA
  10. I did not know this even existed. Per the web: The Fun Pass is your all-access pass to the Amusement Area, the most thrilling place onboard. Secure the best deal when you buy in advance and enjoy additional Fun Pass credits valid for selected attractions available onboard*, including video games. INCLUDED IN YOUR FUN PASS. https://www.msccruises.com/en-gl/Discover-MSC/On-Board/Entertainment-Leisure/Fun-Pass-Package.aspx Per the web page above: All you can Enjoy Enjoy unlimited access to selected attractions available on your ship*, and take advantage of discounts up to 20% if you purchase your Fun Pass package before your cruise.
  11. I recently changed my booking by calling customer service. Upgraded a YC cabin and added 1 person. Customer Service was quick and professional. No issues. I got what I requested. I am one of the lucky ones though. Have read a lot of issues with MSC customer service, but luckily I have not had an issue.
  12. Years ago, wife and I bought a painting that is large enough to hang over our couch. We have it on the wall behind it. They shipped it and it arrived just fine. Heavy sucker too. I have seen some some write-ups issues with jewelry bought onboard. Customer service afterwards was a PITA and pretty non existent.
  13. Yes it is doable. I called a few weeks ago to upgrade my YC cabin and add a person. It cost more, but I was expecting that so no big surprise. I was able to pick my cabin by looking at web page of room locations while CS agent rattled off available cabins.
  14. Is she a gambler? Does she feel she is lucky in life? Too many variables for a non gambler!!! Tell her no No NO it's not going to work so she can book a later flight and enjoy life.
  15. Ahhh, another reason to go YC. All are set up and available most of the day on their beach no extra charge. Towels are already on the chair. I think I am going to like my first time in YC in January.
  16. In the last 3 months I have been on 1 Carnival and 1 MSC cruise. Both out of Port Canaveral. MSC (Divina) was more let's say refined. Nothing stuffy, but still more low key in the passageways and dining facilities and pool areas. Both lines had a mixture of guests from different countries. I had a good time on both. It is what you make of it...at least it is for me. Both ships gave me good food and pleasant workers that did not appear to hate their jobs. Entertainment though was lacking on Carnival. I went on a 4 day cruise. There was no broadway type evening entertainment at the stage. No singing or dancing group, etc. They held the newlywed game one night though. My next 2 cruises booked though are with Carnival with a 3rd booked on MSC (Meraviglia) in January. All out of Port Canaveral. The MSC one will be in the Yacht Club. First time!
  17. For parking, I have started using Port Canaveral Parking. Grass parking area. Locked and secured facility. About $11.95 a day if you do not find discounts online. About 5-7 minutes from the port. Reservation needed. You pay when you book. You pull in, drop off bags and passengers, then go park. Walk back to loading area. There are a hand full of covered parking spots for an added fee. Van driver loads the luggage and brings you to port. There are different lines to stand in for the different cruises leaving that day. Once at port, the porters have come up to the van to take luggage. You walk upstairs and start the check in process. Easy Peasy. My next MSC cruise will be in the Yacht Club late January. I might have to roll my luggage to the white tent, but it will be worth it....:)
  18. Naaaaa. If all you want is the basics, then Bella will work for ya. That's all I get 99% of time on MSC. I just walk around and find me a quiet or cool location and read. Even will take earbuds and watch movies in the general public area.
  19. I got off pretty early last month from the Divina. You might get off and to the airport in time. Its the checking in baggage and getting through Security at Orlando Airport that is your biggest enemy. Be prepared for long and slow lines. Good luck and let us know the results.
  20. I did the 4 day cruise out of CC 2 months ago. 1. I was seated at MDR table by myself. I did not ask. It just happen. 2. Sure you can purchase bucket of beer for yourself. 3. All shows are complimentary. 4. Not sure. I booked 1 level up and booked room number at same time. As for the internet, I think if you book before getting on the ship, it might be a tad cheaper. 1 got it for 1 day. Think it cost me $35.
  21. I hav flown over the Arctic Circle. Thats enough for me. LOL Lived in Iceland but still, to go back and also have Ireland and the British Isles, along with the Fjords would be a one in a life time event for me. Am waiting until after the first of the year to see how low the prices will drop to see if I want to fully commit then.
  22. I am hoping to do the Jewel of the Sea ship starting with a 12 night repositioning from Florida to Amsterdam April 2023 then follow it up with 3 cruises B2B. 8 night Norwegian Fjords Cruise than a 12 night Iceland and Scotland cruise, ending it with the 12 night British Isle Cruise.
  23. I just came across that live from Prima video this morning. Waiting to watch the rest of the series when they post. I like what I have seen so far for the ship. Im interested for when the ship cruises out of Port Canaveral. A 7 day cruise might happen. A ton of different restaurants appear included in the ticket price. Nice layout of the balcony room they have. Will wait to see what a single room will be. None ever show posted on the web site. Guess I have to call NCL?
  24. I just did a 4 day quick cruise with them about a month ago. No issues. Service was good. Food was good. Workers were pleasant. Entertainment was good. Better shows than the one I just did on Carnival a few weeks ago where they had no broadway style shows. I like MSC and booked another one in January. Same itinerary, different ship though.
  25. A quick search of the Internet resulted in me finding akulaliving.com as a source/retailer/distributor of commercial grade chairs, etc. Some Columbo style detective work will find it I am sure.
