  1. Thanks for the great review, I sail on her on a TransAtlantic. With LeVoyage I know this can be done but need to make sure. The entrees don't have any vegetarian options. If have a chance, not priority, ask them if this is a common request. Im figuring out if Im booking it beforehand and this will help. Enjoy your cruise. Sounds like.a great time so far
  2. Food is so subjective overall. It's all perception, to the individual. Yes Ruth is way overrated so are most steakhouses, but I also get steaks straight from the farmer/rancher in VT.
  3. I never use third party anymore with Flights, the tickets they're offering are a bulk rate and like you experienced a major issue. Yes its nice bundling saves lots of money at times but the headaches it can cause are crazy like you dealt with.
  4. A lot depends on supply and what they can get. I know Cattier is on premium, think that's the name. The Prosecco's are not bad on a hot day.
  5. Why its the spa cafe not the regular breakfast buffet, not many go there especially on the Constellation, I know from past experiences. They keep it simple no reason to create a ton of food that will then be tossed. The choices are normal for breakfast there, muffins, proteins fruits and juices.
  6. Thanks. Honestly prefer veuve over Dom but will check it out when I board next November. The times I have done it have had great table mates so that made it extra fun.
  7. I know it's never listed before hand in the Planner or able to purchase pre cruise. I have done it twice and both times my absolutely favorite specialty dinner overall. Last time even worked the menu for my friend individually since she is a vegetarian. Hoping to have it again on one of my next cruises
  8. When I was on the Connie right after start up, my friend who is a vegetarian was able to get the separate vegetarian menu, you need to ask for it, not readily given. Honestly I ordered off the vegetarian menu and many nights had either an entree or starter from the vegetarian menu. The menus were very good.
  9. All depends on what you want to do with it. I just occasionally check emails and send email. If you want to upload pics or watch any type of video you will need the premium. For me the basic works just fine overall.
  10. Personally stay on the ship. I enjoy empty ship days
  11. I rarely touch the deserts as find them all similar tasting and pretty tasteless, one of my good friends is a very well known pastry chef so kind of spoiled. The only thing I have a problem of not having enough are the dreaded breadsticks, could snack on them all day. I agree plenty of food, and you're not going to go hungry. Last few cruises I have actually lost weight, I rarely use elevators any more on the ships except for those late nights at the World Class Bar etc.
  12. See Id be happy with the dinner buffet, as long as I could get melted cheese for the pretzel bread.
  13. That would be the best, probably a day before then they could accommodate you pretty easily. I know last cruise I did last year my travelmate ordered her dinner the night before and it went very smoothly overall.
  14. Just talk to the matre de in the dining rooms they will help you with food and cook special for your diet.
  15. Celebrity, yes handled it wrong, but they will adjust the food options. Honestly most times I wandered thru the Dinner Buffets, mostly it was staff I saw. Yes people were there also but lots of the staff. I think we are in the initial, which stinks for the current cruisers and next couple of cruises, and then an adjustment will be made with more stations open, and options. Will we get the full dinner buffets, I don't think so, or hope not but definitely need adjusting. Not going to panic at this point as my next cruise is not till November.
  16. Question is how should Celebrity handle the increase in Food Cost overall....raise rates etc. HonestlyI get sirloin at my favorite farm, I buy from the the farmer, not stores and it has been way better than any filet I have had. I been to the top steakhouses in the U.S. etc so go at me on it if you want. I have the chef, grad from Hyde Park background overall, but ended up in mgmt. People get blinded and thinking filet mignon etc is the best, makes them feel better overall, ie luxury. It's all perception in my opinion. For example I have done wine tastings with friends who are tru sommeliers, there have been many people who picked the 15 bottle of wine vs the 200 bottle. Blind test,
  17. I enjoy you go "with the flow" type of attitude. I do the same, will everything be perfect, nope, but the imperfect usually are small items when you think of them. Yes there are changes and understandable overall. Looking forward to your summary, I was on the Connie on second cruise after start up for her. One of best trips I have had. Like you said does room need updating probably but it was clean, relaxing, and plenty of room to store things for us
  18. Thank you, I think changes are more class specific looking at the menu, also on the app looking. Enjoy your discourse of your trip, very perceptive writer
  19. It's a meal done once a cruise usually. You will get the Time and day the you board when the Chefs Table meal is.
  20. That's what Im thinking, tho lobster bisque would be out, I know the app menu has a bunch of choices for vegetarian. I'll probably book it and go with it. Definitely won't go hungry.
  21. Tipping is personal overall. How one does it does not mean another has to. With that having run resorts and Restaurants for many years I know how hard service people work, and the behind the scenes ppl also.
  22. Thinking of booking this, I been many times, but I notice they do not have a vegetarian entree at this point. My travel mate is a vegetarian. I know it can be done, plenty of apps that are vegetarian etc. I know it would not be an issue if we went later on the cruise, since we would talk to the Matre de beforehand so my friend could get something special. Does anyone have experience on this. Personally, I want to go to Lawn Club Grill, but that would be a reach for my friend I know.
  23. Hence there is a difference in the the AI rate, drinks/tips/wifi...than purchasing piecemeal. This has been known for a long time that is why packages are priced that way. Yes great rate for Cruise only but if your not putting in the other costs your in for a shock. If you dont like it as said, cancel you would not be happy on the cruise. I know where I need to be on rates pp/per day with the AI to think about the cruise, and amazingly still can find it. This also includes air and hotel/travel costs.
  24. There is a separate vegetarian menu. You need to ask for it it’s not on the app or posted anywhere’s my travel mate is a vegetarian also and was very happy with all the choices
  25. That is a good price for a bid. I would do it as I love blu and also the other amenities that go with aq.
