  1. I got It yesterday on Apex 4/24/2021. It was the least expensive of all the 2021 E class Caribbean sailings. I check prices daily but have not looked today. Pricing may have gone back up today.
  2. I got the same good deal on the March 15th cruise. I agree that the 125% wont cover another sailing. I did a L&S to 2022. The biggest downfall for me is that this was going to be a post dry dock sailing with all the upgrades. Without the upgrades the Infinity is a bit on the older side. I am hoping maybe by 2022 things would have improved and the upgrades added.
  3. Even better deacon the Apex for April 2021; S3 for $2005 pp (pre tax) with 4 perks. S2 is $2400 pp (pre tax) with 4 perks. Taxes/fees/port charges are $141 pp.
  4. I have been trying to figure out why this cruise is priced so high. I looked at suites and almost everyone is available. It's more expensive than a 7N sailing on the Symphony.
  5. I was told the TBD was considered a passenger and I had to pay the deposit. I was booking directly with RC. Maybe a TA is able to add the "TBD" without a deposit.
  6. I don't understand why people feel Celebrity is obligated to allow a lift and shift. It's their company and their rules. If the criteria is the same number of days then that's the criteria. There doesn't have to be an exception because there are no exact sailings. I did several lift and shifts and once the change is made the new invoice has the current pricing. It took a few days to receive an updated invoice with the correct pricing. I wouldn't worry.
  7. Great, Thank you, I appreciate the information.
  8. I've been following the various Lift and Shift threads. I did a few back in May when the program started but I see there have been some tweaks to eligible ships. On the list of approved moves, is Royal allowing L&S from Galveston Caribbean to either Miami or Fort Lauderdale ports? Thank you
  9. Better and more food options on Coco Cay. Labdee has a private area for suite guests. Coco Cay does not offer this option. I would pick Coco Cay.
  10. My mistake, if you didn't cancel you will get the 125% FCC.
  11. You will not get 125% because RC did not cancel your sailing. You cancelled to early. Not being able to book August is not an official cancellation. As of today, RC only announced sailings are cancelled through July 31st. You are eligible for a 100% FCC. Although you cancelled, you may be able to call and lift and shift. RC is under no obligation to do this as your reservation is now cancelled.
  12. Can a cruise line do this without prior notification? You fulfilled the terms of the contract by paying in full. By the time you get to the pier you have received your cruise documents and completed the check in process. What would be the cruiseline reason for not letting you board? I can possibly see you not being able to use the same credit card but even this seems like a lot of tracking since cc numbers can change for something as simple as a lost credit card. Vegas is kinda a one and done. A cruise is much more relaxing.. 🙂... Good luck with a satisfactory resolution.
  13. Have you tried to dispute the charge with the credit card company? you agreed to a $300 payment not a full payment. The most money RC should have is $300. Thanks for the info about using FCC online. Doesn't make sense that this would be an available option but in reality can not be used. This seems like a IT glitch.
  14. I thought you could use the FCC when booking online. Sometimes it's best to hang up and talk to someone else. S When is the new cruise? Can you cancel the new reservation and get your money back? If I read the post correctly, you only agreed to a $300 charge and not the entire fare.
  15. Carnival enforces their boarding time. You are not allowed in the terminal prior to your scheduled time. I'm sure during the check in process you will have an opportunity to add your arriving flight time. Maybe the scheduled time will be based on the information provided. The first few sailings on any line will be the test. Things will stabilize after a few sailings across all companies. They will learn from each other. I'm sure all the CEOs are meeting and discussing options.
  16. Did I miss a major cruise news announcement? RCL closed at $54 today. Obviously, the price will go up and down but the people who take a chance and purchased when the price was $20 or $30 are ahead. CCL and NCL are also up.
  17. What didn't you like about Star class? I think the decor in the ATS is cheesy. It's far from luxurious, which is what I would expect for the price. The bathrooms are not upgrades but the same of a regular balcony cabin. Not sure what this wasn't upgraded on the Oasis. I wanted something with two bedroom and found the A1 for $9200 on the Oasis this Dec for three people and the A2 for $6900 for three people also on the Oasis next Thanksgiving. Both were less than a CL with drink packages for all. The CL is my absolute favorite cabin and being on deck 17 beats everything. I feel like I cheated on my CL but the extra bedroom is a better fit for 3.
  18. Thank you, I knew I read someone made the switch.
  19. it should not. I think I read on one of these L&S threads that someone went from the empress to an Oasis class ship.
  20. What information on dining? It's pretty obvious Alaska will not happen this year as the port situation is out of Celebrity's control. To think otherwise is being unrealistically optimistic. Since any cruise scheduled to sail before Aug 20th is past final payment, sit back and wait for the cancellation. Then you can either get a full refund or 125% FCC. Alternatively, you can also move your sailing to 2021 with price protection or get a FCC (waiving $100 cancellation on a NRD) before it is officially cancelled. There are options. If people are still booking Alaska season 2020 it's probably because they want the 125% FCC. Why not take the money? It's considered a win win. Cancellations every 30 days make sense. This way the call center isn't overloaded causing longer wait times and provides wiggle room if things change at the last minute. It's a fluid situation that changes daily. If concrete answers are needed it's probably best to cancel and not wait things out.
  21. There is revenue from new bookings and cruse planner purchases. Albeit, not as much income if ships were sailings. A good way to increase income is to lower cruise prices and items in the cruise planner. If people believe there is a sale and they are getting a bargain money will be spent. Removing NRD was a good move in the right direction.
  22. Why not call RC using the number you normally do and verify? I saw something similar on another site and it mentioned there was additional OBC if the reservation was paid in full (earlier than final payment). The offer was verified when calling C&A. I don't think a second reservation would be mentioned if it's an offer. This is not how RC system works. Each reservation is separate and receive different offers. Going forward how things worked in the past may be different than present times. I wouldn't base decisions on how it was pre cruising shutdown.
  23. I have a few cruises that I am watching on the Equinox, Edge and Apex in 2021 and 2022. The before taxes, per person, for a S2 is between $350 and $460 with 4 perks. I am usually interested when pricing hits around $300 pp with 4 perks on a S Class or Edge ship. I was fortunate and found a 2021 5 night on Apex for $240 pp with all 4 perks. Prices drop after final payment so you may find suites less than $300 when this happens.
