  1. For sure, car rental insurance is a cash cow for car rental companies. Much like CDNPolar, I use my Visa Infinite card to rent and provide coverage. Visa will provide a Certificate of Insurance for the rental period if you phone and ask so that you'll have a specific document showing proof of insurance. My own car insurance will not cover rentals outside of North America.
  2. It's still a measure of relativity, not absolutism. Although I'll allow I believe I'm pretty well off financially.
  3. The price you quoted for four (4) devices over a period of about one month is far too cheap. I suggest you call Princess to get that sorted out beforehand.
  4. Might look into the options. Usually, I just get on a treadmill and run or an elliptical and ellipticate.
  5. If you can figure out ways to get people to work for minimal wages and have your customers 'top them up', you'll be able to own/operate more cruise ships.
  6. I resurrected this thread after my wife asked me whether there would be yoga classes/sessions offered on our upcoming TA in AQ on Ascent. The responses have been great. We both use the gym but I'm not a yoga guy. Neither one of us will be exercising in our cabin; that's for the gym or promenade. It looks as though we should expect to have a couple of mats in the cabin and, if not, I can just ask the steward who will probably be happy to arrange for a delivery. We did not order any of the accessories.
  7. After I posted, I went looking to see whether I could find anything. As you say, it seems this is something that covid closed down and there is no apparent schedule to start up again.
  8. I don't believe you'll be able to accomplish what you're suggesting using a cruise line. Maybe switch your search to cargo ships that carry passengers and book passage for you and all your goods to Miami or Fort Lauderdale.
  9. Yes, a passport card will do the job.
  10. Yesss.... If the cruise goes to Skagway and the passenger wants to take the WPYR tour to Carcross, Yukon, I believe a passport will be required.
  11. WHAT? Sorry, I'm not angry, just partially deaf.
  12. Maybe I've lost the thread on this.... who, exactly, is paying for everything? I'd say that's the deciding factor.
  13. Of course it will go away. Eventually, you'll give up in disgust and just leave them alone. Problem solved.
  14. For two people in the cabin? If so, I don't believe you've cruised on a mainstream line over the last couple of years.
  15. Perhaps... at that time I don't think that would have been a phrase in an 17 year old's vocabulary.
  16. Years ago we were at the dinner table and my younger brother mentioned that he had received a ticket for parking/stopping in a handicap zone in front of the local drug store. My dad said 'they're not for the mentally handicapped'. Now, that was funny!
  17. @FeebeeH the 'magic' of searching the threads! Did the item(s) you ordered turn up in your room and, were yoga mats available in the room?
  18. No, and I believe you're just attempting to cause a mischief or disturbance. Those locations are for paying customers and some (cruise company) chosen others to eat, mingle and be seen by/with passengers as part of the experience. Shipboard life (not just cruising) is not some type of egalitarian, communal living experience. Discipline, privacy, communications, and a host of other considerations to keep things running smoothly and accomplish business objectives have always been part of the environment.
  19. I wouldn't say that a change to the itinerary is related to the nature of a medical emergency. It's more about the off-schedule time spent being able to take care of an emergency situation - and in the case of a medical emergency, the ship's doctor will advise on the need for evacuation - and then, decisions on how to proceed from there. I expect the captain is in communication with head office operations about all of that.
  20. As you say.... sure! Air Canada does it for some flights but it's pretty clear that the seats are of the Comfort (Economy) variety and include choose-you-own 'preferred' seats - basically, a little more leg room. Whether this makes things more comfortable is pretty much a subjective opinion. For Air Canada, usually the next step up is Premium Economy then Business Class. No 'scam' at all.
  21. That depends.... inside does not have a view, therfore there is nothing to be obstructed.
  22. I agree. I do hope you stay clear of the what's acceptable at formal night threads!
  23. Yeah, me too. But I'd prefer not to have it.
  24. I do, minimal but if you happen to be sitting out on the balcony with that pole/beam in front of you,mit would be a bit annoying.
