Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. You must purchase trip insurance within 2 was of deposit for it to cover pre existing conditions. If you happen to have to cancel before final is due, not only do you loose the deposit but also the premium for the insurance you purchased. That’s a lot of money
  2. My husband and I have been cruising for many years. Both of us in our 70’s. In the past your deposit was refundable as long as you canceled before final payment. Now you have to pay a lot more for a refundable deposit if it’s even an option. When you are our age a lot can happen between deposit and final payments. This is not good. They want people to book a year in advance but who wants to loose a deposit
  3. Going on the Symphony soon. Last time I was on the Harmony we had to pre book our shows. I went on line to see if I could do it and couldn’t find out how. Any help would be appreciated
  4. We are in our 70’s . I have a pacemaker and Afib. My husband has high cholesterol. In order to have trip insurance we need to purchase it with in so many days after deposit is made even though we can cancel up until final payment is made and get the deposit back. If this happens then we are out the premium for the insurance which is over $700 for our next cruise. Many people our age have something medically wrong. What insurance do you find to be the best?
  5. We will be driving to Ft Lauderdale to take our cruise. Wondering what hotel we can stay at the night before that will let us leave our car there and shuttle us to the pier
  6. Getting ready to take a cruise out of our home town. Last time we did, we had some small bottles of DietCoke since I like it for breakfast. They were taken from us when we went through security. We were told we could only bring can soda. Wondering what the current policy is for taking soda and water on the ship. We are leaving out of Baltimore
  7. I have my own wheelchair but it’s too hard for my husband to push me up the ramp. Last time two men pushed me up and even they had a hard time. Figured there had to be an easier way
  8. I will be cruising out of Baltimore in a wheelchair. The last time I sailed two employees pushed me up the gangway. They hardly made it. Just wondering if there is another way to board
  9. My husband and I are taking a cruise out of south Hampton in May 2023. We are both older and I am in a wheelchair. We always fly in the day prior to our cruises to give us a day to rest up before boarding the ship. We are having a hard time finding a hotel. Should we get a hotel by Heathrow Airport or close to the ship? No hotels at the airport have shuttle service. The hotel the cruise line uses is $600 plus. Any suggestions?
  10. My husband and I are flying into Heathrow the day before our cruise on the Princess Sky in May. Can’t seem to find a hotel close to the airport that offers a free shuttle to and from the airport. Anyone have a hotel they would recommend ? If it doesn’t offer shuttle service, how did you get there and what was the cost?
