Coral, If you have time check out 'Les Frenchies' on YouTube. They have numerous videos about what to do or see or eat in Paris like a local. RB

Save your money to spend at the Christmas markets. Remember at that time of year it is dark fairly early so there isn't much to see out a larger window, and you'll be out on tours during the day. RB

We have sailed with Uniworld numerous times, always on the River ships. We've had cabins on the top, middle and lowest deck. Unless you are in a suite the cabins are all cozy. 😉 (small). RB

I feel your frustration. Make sure you follow up for compensation. I believe if the flight originated in Europe they have laws that will help.

Woke up in 2024 with a blanket of snow on the ground. This after a warm very wet Christmas. Wishing everyone a happy, healthy, peaceful new year. May your flights leave on time, your ships be free of rude coughing guests, your suitcase be underweight....

Thank you Travel 7. We were supposed to board the Jasper on the 19th, but had to cancel due to a medical emergency. All is good health wise, so am feeling better about missing a rather different cruise than what was expected. Did Scenic keep you informed right from the beginning of the challenges?

Is anyone presently on one of these cruises and could give an update? It appears the Jasper has been docked in Frankfurt for a few days not able to get to the Danube. Thanks, RB

Daisi, Make sure you get to Punkydoodle's Corners, just west of New Hamburg on the way to Shakespeare and Stratford . Or drive south toward Lake Erie to Copenhagen. Lots to discover.

I think it is time for someone to defend the decor of the Uniworld ships. 😁 When cruising along the Danube or Rhine what are the top destinations you are going to see? Palaces! Churches! Cathedrals! Castles! Anything Maria Theresa and family ever touched! You take pictures of the gilt and marble and mirrors amazed at the excess. So why not really indulge yourself in it for a week or two? Walk past a Picasso on your way to the lounge every day. Be waited on by fantastic staff. Sleep in luxurious comfort. Eat and drink until even your elastic waist pants don't fit anymore. Is this how I decorate my home ? Heck no, but its fun to live a fantasy while on vacation. RB

Interesting. Uniworld was to refurbish the River Queen into an SS ship at the end of 2020, but understandably that never happened. I hope she is not being replaced. RB

I'm here notamermaid, just lurking in the background eagerly reading trip reports. It is the first day of autumn and the last day of harvesting anything from our little garden. Our next cruise is not until the 19th of December so all cruise reviews are what keeps me going until then. RB

Kristelle, thank you for taking the time to report in real time, it is not as easy as some might think. What were some of your personal favourite moments or surprises? Was there a tour you didn't go on, but heard others rave about it? Safe travels homeward bound. RB

Thanks . We will be going 14 days AMS to BUD over Christmas/New Year's. First time with Scenic. We are used to one bag per person per week with Uniworld , so only one bag instead of 4 . When traveling with carry on only, getting laundry done is essential. The obc should cover it.
