  1. In July we were on Enchantment for a Med cruise and one was left for us every day.
  2. On our Med cruise in July never got the health questionnaire the day before and no questions were asked at the port.
  3. On our Med cruise in July we never got the health questionnaire the day before and no questions were asked at the port.
  4. We visited Doge’s Palace in July without a guide just bought the skip the line tickets. We also bought tickets for the bell tower and St. Mark’s including the special areas the skip the line no tour.
  5. I agree. For our trip in July there were some places that only accepted cash or tried to run the card and has issues so were glad we had exchanged US dollars for Euros through our bank.
  6. We were there in July and took taxis almost everywhere we needed the system is great.
  7. We were on a Med cruise in July and most people dressed very casual. I would pack a few nicer things just in case it is different than what we experienced.
  8. When we renewed in November 2023 we did non expedited and 2 of us got it in 3 weeks and the other in 4 and we also got our old passports back around then as well.
  9. On our cruise in July with Royal a few days before the end we got a letter about them arranging transportation for various things so we went to guest services and they booked a shuttle to the train station for the 3 of us. I do not remember the cost. It was waiting for us right outside the terminal and we shared it with a couple. We got to the train station and found where to buy the tickets to Rome and then had to see which track the next train was on and have the tickets stamped by the green thing. We had to go to one of the tracks across from where we were so had to go down a set of stairs and come up the other side. From Rome we were getting a train to Venice which we purchased from Italo ahead of time and when we booked those tickets did it for 11 am and bought flex in case there was a delay. Luckily that all worked out great but then when we arrived at Rome Termini it is a huge station and took time to get to the area from where we got left off to the area where the train we needed to catch was and if you need restrooms and food that is another area you have to go so allow a lot of time if you are not staying in Rome and going elsewhere where you need another train.
  10. For our cruise in July we ended at Civi and a few days before the end we got something in our room from Royal about them arranging transportation for various things so we went to guest services and they booked a shuttle to the train station for us. I do not remember the cost. It was so easy we had taken our luggage off the ship and saw one of the employees who had us wait until the other family who was apparently sharing with us arrived. The shuttle was right there as we walked out of the terminal and were dropped off right in front of the train station. Just had to buy our tickets and see which track the next train to Rome was on and get there and stamp our tickets in the green things along the way.
  11. We took taxis everywhere. They have a great system.
  12. In addition to Sagrada Familia and Parc Guell we saw Casa Battlo and Casa Mila as well as Montjuic castle for the little time we had prior to our cruise in July.
  13. We went on a Med cruise in July. My Mother was with us and knew it would be too much for us to do both in 1 day so decided to just stick with Pisa. There were taxis waiting right outside the terminal in Livorno and we worked out a price with the driver and a time for him to pick us back up where he dropped us off pretty close. I had booked tickets ahead of time for the Field of Miracles attractions including the time for my husband and I to climb the tower while she waited for us at the coat room area where there was seating. After that we had just enough time for lunch at a cafe.
  14. In July we were on a Med cruise out of Barcelona and flew in a few days before. We went to Villefranche, Marseille, Genoa, Portofino, and Livorno and it ended in Civitavecchia. After the cruise we spent 2 nights in Venice and then some time in Rome. It was such an amazing trip!
  15. We were on Enchantment for a Mediterranean cruise in July and loved it.
  16. We have only been on 4 cruises over the years including a Med one in July on Enchantment and we have always enjoyed the WJ for breakfasts and lunches if on the ship and the MDR for dinner.
  17. We were on a Med cruise in July with Royal for Spain, France, and Italy and most passengers we encountered seemed to be American or Canadian, There were a variety of countries the crew came from and we enjoyed looking on everyone’s name tags and speaking to them about it. No one got dressed up for dinner in the MDR at all.
  18. We stayed at a different hotel on that street and took a taxi to SG. There was a stop right outside and found it is so easy to get taxis in Barcelona. We then took a taxi after a quick lunch from SG to Parc Guell.
  19. Depending on where you want to go you could probably just take a taxi. When we were there in July with Royal they were right as we walked out of the terminal. We wanted to go to Pisa and arranged a price with a driver and a time for him to bring us back. He also said he could take us to other places but we knew just doing that would be enough.
  20. I would not fly in the day of the cruise. There could be a plane delay or some type of strike such as airport, taxi, train, etc. If it is possible come in at least 2 or 3 days early so you have time to sightsee in Rome.
  21. After our cruise in July we spent 2 nights in Venice wish we could have been there longer but I could only be gone from work a certain amount of time and then what was to be 3 days in Rome but due to an airport strike our flight was cancelled so got a few extra days.
  22. We were on a Med cruise out of Barcelona in July and never got the health questionnaire the day before and nothing asked at the port.
