Yes, I’m in the same boat of having an unrecognized account. I also don’t understand why Azamara doesn’t post a “known problem, working on it”. I worked in IT and I understand the difficulties with a system transition. What I don’t understand is why Azamara isn’t more proactive in communicating with customers about these problems.

I am very frustrated with Azamara. I am one of those who is having trouble logging in because the system doesn’t recognize my email. I wrote a message to Azamara Cruises, explaining that I have been on Azamara cruises before and that I was a discoverer plus which obviously means that I have sailed before. I received a generic email response telling me that my email is not in the system and that if I am a new customer, all I need to sign up. I appreciate the fact that they are having trouble but they can’t be sending these ridiculous generic emails to their long-term customers; they must know by now that they have a problem with the database.

I’m amongst those whose account email is no longer recognized by the new system. Although we are Discoverer Plus, our last Azamara cruise was in 2016. All the difficulties they are having certainly explain why other cruise lines continue to use their legacy systems. I’ve contacted Azamara Cruises, but don’t expect a quick response.
  4. Right. Azamara and Celebrity always shared point reciprocity, but Royal Caribbean only had status match even when all three were RCI.
  5. I am twice vaccinated and double boosted, yet got COVID anyway (at home). My primary care physician ordered Paxlovid, but there were many considerations to be made (including current prescriptions as well as kidney functioning). It would surprise me if ship’s physicians prescribed this drug routinely, I would not count on it.
  6. Scroll all the way down to the end of the page on Azamara.com and you should see a country flag (should be US since you are being quoted in US Dollars). Touch the flag and other country flags will show up. Choose the Canadian flag. Cheers.
  7. We did a B2B version of this cruise in 2016. We had to get a visa ourselves for India. This is a must do. Sri Lanka visas were accomplished by Azamara. Dubai also had a visa requirement that was needed after we deplaned. Of course, you need to check and see what has changed since then. Edited to add: I’m from the U.S., I notice you are from the U.K. This likely will make a difference. We had to get a full visa, not an E-Visa. I think this has changed.
  8. Hopefully, this will work for you. Cheers!
  9. If you book through any type of TA (including “Big Box”), it’s my understanding that they must make any rate modifications for you, so I don’t think you can deal directly with Azamara yourself. Also, sometimes travel agencies book “special group rates” that are difficult to get modified under some of the OBC offers.
  10. I’m assuming it’s an IT issue. They are working on disengaging from Royal Caribbean’s IT infrastructure and they probably don’t have their own payment module ready yet. Seems that would be one of the first things they would want to do
