  1. I miss it horribly. I know I'm lucky in that I got in that Transatlantic in March, and a 5-day on the Independence before it, but I've been home for six months now and the thing that bothers me most is that I've waited all these years to be retired and be able to go wherever I want, whenever I want. And now I can't. Cruising makes a great vacation option for the solo traveler. It's a much more social setting than a resort hotel. I have a group I was to have cruised with this fall (we met on a TA years ago) and we're all extremely disappointed that this stoppage is preventing us fro
  2. Vision, Independence, and Brilliance are in St. Maarten.
  3. Anyone got any info on time frame of Independence (coco-cay ) sailings , if they will continue all western or east also. We are on the 4-27-20 sailing and wouldn't mind picking up a back to back. Bob
  4. Hi I was wonder if ID still has a free sauna/ steamer and gym thank you
  5. I need to correct this, Oasis moves up to Cape Liberty in late May through August then back to Port Everglades. I also think that some additional moves may happen as if they move Independence down to Miami, they will have 4 ships sailing out there.
  6. If they move Independence to POM, that means there will be no RCCL sailings departing Port Everglades next Summer. Never thought I'd see the day that there are no sailings departing from P.E. I hope SWA adds a lot of NS's to MIA next year.
  7. Summer 2021 Changes: announcing upcoming redeployments of six ships. ADVENTURE of the Seas, which was previously scheduled to sail from Copenhagen and Stockholm, will head for Barcelona to sail a mix of 4- and 5-night short Mediterranean itineraries to historic destinations like La Spezia and Rome, Italy; Ajaccio, Nice and Marseille, France; and Palma and Ibiza, Spain. Initially scheduled to sail from Miami, BRILLIANCE of the Seas will now homeport outside of Venice in Ravenna, Italy, offering 7-night roundtrip sailings that visit Greece, the Greek Isles and Croatia. JEWEL of the Seas, o
  8. This is our first cruise on one of the biggie ships and the first with our grandchildren There are so many activities and I know that not everything is included ( I wonder if I can keep the arcade a sectet ? ) Is the lazer tag a charge ? How about the trampoline? This is the first time we have had to worry about kids, it is usually all about which drink card to get lol Thanks for your help Kris
  9. 1. Odyssey of the Seas, March 2022 2. Oh man if this one doesn't sail, we've got bigger problems than cruising. 😉 3. We would absolutely be crushed to not sail this one. We had originally booked Oasis of the Seas for March 2020 (cancelled in Dec 2019 bc we couldn't find affordable airfare, but it would have been cancelled anyway due to COVID), then Independence of the Seas for August 2020 (as a re-do of our Oasis cruise, with our first-ever one bedroom suite ☹️, but we took the 125% FCC when this one was cancelled). Happy that we got a quick 4-day on the Mariner of the
  10. Looks like the balcony might have an view issue one way because it seems to be the first cabin next to the hump area. Have never been on this ship and haven't cruised RC in a very long time. Any cabin advice appreciated, for this cabin, or in general. Particularly interested in a quiet sleep situation as we are light sleepers. Thank you so very much!
  11. 1. Vision 11/23/20 (pretty sure it will get cancelled, not sure we should go if it doesn’t) 2. Independence 3/21 (Maybe) 3. Summit 9/22/21 The cruise I really hated to see cancelled was our family cruise that was supposed to be on Harmony in June, 2020. Our three sons were bringing their families, one was flying from Australia. This was our first family cruise where everyone could come since 2011. I was really looking forward to it! Sherri🙂
  12. We will be taking a private shuttle service from London to Southampton and would love to avoid the crowds. What time can you board in Southampton? The ship sails at 4:30 p.m.
  13. To the citizens of the United States of America from Her Sovereign Majesty Queen Elizabeth II In light of your immediate failure to financially manage yourselves and also in recent years your tendency to elect incompetent Presidents of the USA and therefore not able to govern yourselves, we hereby give notice of the revocation of your independence, effective immediately. (You should look up 'revocation' in the Oxford English Dictionary.) Her Sovereign Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will resume monarchical duties over all states, commonwealths, and territories (except Kansas
  14. Hi CC. I am due to go on the Indie at the end of June and was wondering if anyone has recently sailed on her and if so what was it like? Is it still in good repair? Food okay? Service? Etc
  15. I am struggling to find customer photos, videos, comments on the family stateroom 2309 on indepence of the seas. Can anyone help? TIA
  16. Going on the Indy in August and just wondered about trying the Skypad? Have looked on YouTube but it doesn't really give me any idea if my husband and I would enjoy it or not. We are both 50+. Any thoughts/advice gratefully received!

  18. In case I might have missed any announcements, has anyone read where these ships are going to be deployed and for how many night sailings. There's nothing listed on Cruising Power for TA's. Navigator, Adventure, Liberty, Mariner, Independence. Thanks in advance to those who reply.
  19. Looking for opinions or pictures of the "new" Junior Suites on Deck 11 on Freedom Class ships (Freedom & Independence).
  20. I see that the video is from Independence but is this the same for Freedom JS?
  21. The CDC updated some info today regarding crew disembarkation. Royal has three ships that aren't flagged Green: Independence, Serenade and Mariner. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/crew-disembarkations-commercial-travel.html
  22. Since your question has only been partly answered, here is a list of the Broadway/West End shows on each ship: Anthem - We Will Rock You Allure - Mamma Mia! Harmony - Grease Independence - Grease Liberty - Saturday Night Fever Oasis - Cats! Symphony - Hairspray Freedom - Marque (Broadway Variety) Ovation/Navigator/Empress/Quantum/Spectrum - Various forms of a Vegas Showgirls show (sometimes called Sequins and Feathers, not actual Broadway) Odyssey - TBD All other ships have Royal Caribbean production shows but not actu
  23. Just to keep up appearances of normality. I have NO idea who's on now. Adventure OTS - Capt Krzyszthof Szymkarczuk (started rotation 4-19-20) Adventure OTS - Capt Carl Graucob Allure OTS - Capt Claus Andersen (started rotation 5-10-20) Allure OTS - Capt Ron Holmes Anthem OTS - Capt Felix Srecko Ban (started rotation 5-24-20) Anthem OTS - Capt Iv Vidos Brilliance OTS - Capt Ante Cavala (started rotation 5-16-20) Brilliance OTS - Capt Ole-Johan Gronhaug Empress OTS - Capt D
  24. This post? WHEN ROYAL CARIBBEAN SHIPS MAY START SAILING AGAIN. #iamroyal Royal Caribbean International could cruising again with some ships in North America later this year, while other ships could start up sooner in Asia and Australia pending local regulations. Other vessels may not start service until 2021. A look at the expected first sailing of each Royal Caribbean International ship as the cruise industry gets back into service (all information is subject to change due to the COVID-19 crisis): Adventure of the Seas Date: November 5, 2020 H
  25. Can I lift & shift a 6 night Western on Independence to a 6 night Western on Odyssey? We are in a JS on Independence (was booked as a Guarantee but cabin already assigned). Seems like it would be a big 'upgrade' getting a JS on a Quantum class ship. Not sure if we want to lift & shift yet will probably leave a bit closer to August and re-assess then, but just curious if we can! Have it booked as a S2S with Western Oasis in January so would need to move that to an Eastern Oasis in 2022 to make the dates work, but from what I've already read that would be fine.
