Rare pierces Posted July 9, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2018 Pictures taken between Monday, July 9 and Sunday, July 15. Rules: This isn't a contest. All photos are welcome (not just cruising). Prizes will not be awarded. The idea is to get folks out using their cameras for more than vacation and toddler birthdays. Post one. Post many. Up to you. Have fun with your camera. Share your fun with others. The fun is your prize and it's a good one!

Oakman58 Posted July 12, 2018 #6 Share Posted July 12, 2018 Currently I’m “camping” in my RV at a lake in Illinois. I always enjoy watching the Herons hunting for a meal along the shoreline.
Krazy Kruizers Posted July 12, 2018 #7 Share Posted July 12, 2018 Great pictures everyone. We actually got to sit outside a couple of days this week. Still have not been able to get any hummingbird pictures -- 2 feeders -- and the butterflies refuse to sit still.
Krazy Kruizers Posted July 12, 2018 #8 Share Posted July 12, 2018 We used to have bunches of day lilies -- but now they come 1 or 2 a day. I love the ones that are double:

Rare pierces Posted July 22, 2018 Author #12 Share Posted July 22, 2018 Family traditions take many forms. Our family isn't really big on traditional traditions and our Birthday Brunches with Christmas and Easter gatherings just about cover the list. I'm not sure whether the trips to Houston to watch the big Marvel movie releases qualifies as a tradition but with so few others, I’m going to call it one. The venue of choice is a former Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, now Cinema Star Grill, located a few minutes from my Son’s house. The ticket prices are half the price of our local AMC and the movie-themed food like the Porky’s Revenge pulled pork topped burger is exceptional. Did I mention the quality beers on tap? Must. Honor. Tradition. Marvel-ous Dave

zackiedawg Posted July 27, 2018 #14 Share Posted July 27, 2018 Catching up from 3 weeks of photos finally downloaded and sorted, here are a few wildlife shots from the Florida wetlands from July 14th: A juvenile brown thrasher, having a hot sandbath - it was brutally hot and those sands were probably well over 120 degrees - most seem to think the birds do this to get bugs out of their feathers: A very red dragonfly doing a handstand: A very closeup look at a juvenile little blue heron - he still had some white feathers, slowly transitioning over to the adult colors of dusky grey-blue: A very large, probably very old, green iguana, enjoying some grass out in the sun, and showing off his big long dewlap: A baby alligator who thought he was hiding under the shade of an overhanging pond apple tree in the mucky water - but the juveniles' little yellow stripes and colors makes them harder to hide from a curious wildlife photographer:
Jack_Tar Posted July 29, 2018 #15 Share Posted July 29, 2018 The Goodwood Festival of Speed was founded in 1993 by Lord March to bring motor racing back to the Goodwood estate, it started of with 10,00 odd attending, peaked at 158000 now capped at 150000 (entrance now by ticket.) It was their 25th anniversary and also the 70th anniversary of Porsche. Terry’s 2:24.5 run up the famous hillclimb broke Terry’s old record for a mile travelled in a car on two wheels, set in 2011, by more than 30 seconds.
