Astoria question

Recommended Posts

We are on a HAL cruise that stops in Astoria on the way to Mexico, Living in the NW I know that weather is to say the least unpredictable at the end of September especially with the currents going into and out of Astoria. Wondering if HAL will substitute another port if Astoria has to be cancelled due to weather, or slow down and add another sea day.

I can't recall seeing any reports of extra ports being added whenever anyone mentions having missed Astoria due to weather; so I'd assume a sea day and a refund of the port charges are what you can expect. But who knows - maybe you'll get lucky and HAL will decide to do the extra work of finding another port with an available berth rather than saving fuel by steaming slower...?
