HAL On Board Booklet

My TA told me we would be getting the above mentioned, that it contained some free amenities and what was included, but I obviously wandered off mentally because I don't remember what she said.:D

Anybody else have a recent experience receiving/using one and what is included?

Thanks,

Karen

Thank you so much. You are right about nothing being for FREE!

I'm definitely NOT getting these two:

10% off a Nutritional Consultation.

One Complimentary fitness class with purchase of one fitness class.

If I bought the robe, I'd have to wear it off the ship and call it a coat when we fly home!!!

Thanks for this info. Our TA called us just today with a HAL cruise offer and mentioned this coupon book as one of the amenities. It would be hard to come up with a list of seemingly-impressive items that (a) could possibly interest us any less, and, (b) which clearly costs HAL nothing, the profit on the linked purchase required items clearly offsetting any small marginal costs of the things on the list.

We just sailed the Maasdam and received the coupon booklet. There was nothing in it for us to take advantage of without spending a lot up front to get a minimal discount. If I were a coffee drinker I would have used the upgrade to a larger cup, but that was about it. Perhaps if we were big spenders, it would have benefitted us. Otherwise, you are not missing anything.

These coupon books almost feel like a scam.

There are significant purchases required in order to get anything additional and they are also very specific. If they even offered something along the lines of "10% off any onboard purchase in the shops" it would be more useful than offering it only on particular items like the robes.

I guess technically they are offering these on a variety of services and items, but feels very bizarre. Who is making a shipboard call??? Maybe it's just us that doesn't partake of very many of these types of items.

Princess offers these coupons as well, and they used to have a good one whereby if you bought a coffee card you got another one free, then later, buy a card, you got a free souvenir mug. Princess coffee is notoriously bad so many people go for the card and getting anything extra felt like a bit of a deal.
