It's been 18 months since I was on the Riviera, but I've been on the nearly-identical Marina twice since then, and on both ships I used the gym virtually every day. It's correct that there are no kettle bells, but there are plenty of free-weights and at least one weight bench. There were also those different-colored stretch bands (I forget the correct name for them) in the separate room used for yoga, stretch classes, and spinning classes. The Riviera did have medicine balls, which the Marina did not, but that was the only difference between the two gyms.
