4 Ladies, 1 Cabin?

Hi All, I hardly ever post on this site, but do browse the HAL board most every day. Usually I see every question I could possibly ask already answered. This time I’m stumped! Myself and three lady friends would like to cruise together, I’m the only one with a Mariner number. I have found a HAL Cruise on a travel site that has special Mariner pricing. Question is can I book two cabins and get the special price for both? or do we all need to share one cabin? Are there cabins that large on the Zuiderdam?

On this upcoming cruise in Feb, I booked three cabins in a row all under the promo code associated with my Mariner number. All 6 of us got the same deal. :D

Also of note, I am paying all the fares for the cruise for all 6 but am being reimbursed at least in part by 2 members of our party. You may need to put the fares on your credit card and just have your friends reimburse you.

Of course , you will confirm but I think the Mariner must be in the cabin to ge t themariner pricing. My instinct says you get it for only the cabin in which you will stay but ASK and confim. HARD to answer without facts you cannot post.

At one time you could request a Mariner number even before going on a first cruise. I did it once for in-laws about 8 years ago. If that's still possible you could use each person's number for the booking. And of course if any of the other three ladies have sailed on any other CCL sister lines they are automatically 1-star.

The Neptune Suites can sleep 4 -- but 2 would have to share the queen size sofa bed -- not to my liking. Plus you would only have 1 bathroom -- I don't like that either for people.

Yes -- you can book 2 cabins under your name and Mariner number. But you should talk to your friends and make certain that you get the money from them.

There are quad cabins, but I wouldn't want to be in one with four adults. One would have to sleep on a sofa and one would have to climb into an upper bunk! Not to mention bathroom crowding ... :D

One of our party has never cruised on any line and she was given her own Mariner number at booking. It is on her paperwork. So it still must be possible. (y)

Four lady friends of ours did that two years ago, to afford their cruise to Alaska. They are VERY good friends and organized, so for them it worked. They loved it !

Buying a thermal spa package for some of the four would help alleviate some of the bathroom tie-up since they have wonderful showers and dressing rooms - if you can get a cabin close to that end of the ship. It would be a safety valve. Along with getting a cabana if the ship offers them for an extra gathering spot. There goes the bargain pricing. How about renting a small motel room for a weekend and see how all four of you do in a close setting as a trial run?

worldlady, If any of the other persons has sailed previously with another CCL brand cruise line they will qualify immediately as a 1* HAL Mariner. HAL can & will provide their Mariner # in advance, if asked, for beneficial promotional pricing, etc.

Anyone who has cruised any of the Carnival Corp. Family of ships is automticallyy a mariner though he days are only credited on the cruise line where they sailed. IF any f the ladies ualify to be M ariner, have them inquire

Four ladies in one c abin wrh one bath room is NOT my idea of a vacation. : No Way ! :eeks: No matter how much you adore each other ...... yIKES. Not if the cruise is free. (sorry JMO )

I think that's what the OP is really asking and I don't know the answer.

I don't think any one of us should assume or criticize those who love to travel, experience life, laugh, cry, ponder and wonder! Do what you all feel good about! If it works.....do it again.....if it doesn't quite live up to expectations, then you lived and learned and make the best of it! I would always rather share memories than travel alone.....

One bathroom! 4 ladies! NOOOOO!

That sounds like a much better plan :)

Four women, or four men in one cabin could make for some fun stories to tell. Or the sort of stories which become funny after a little has passed. It’s the difficulties and little mishaps that make for laughs as time goes by.:)

Interesting to speculate about what "ground rules" (guidelines) need to epxplored up front before sharing a cabin, with others you may not know so well:

--Bathroom schedules

--Space allocation

--Separate onboard accounts

--Sleep habits/noises
