Looking myself at Alaska,I came across this if any help, depending where you live.

Of the two lines, Princess Cruises is the only one to offer sailings from San Francisco and Los Angeles (starting 2018). The 10-night San Francisco sailings cruise through the Inside Passage and stop in Juneau and Ketchikan, with some sailings stopping in Haines and others in Skagway and some itineraries including Tracy Arm glacier viewing, while others feature Glacier Bay. The 12-night Los Angeles itinerary visits Ketchkian, Juneau, Skagway and Victoria, and also offers Glacier Bay scenic cruising.

Princess is also the only one of the two cruise lines to offer an open-jaw itinerary that starts in Vancouver, but ends in Seattle. This itinerary includes stops in Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and Victoria, as well as scenic cruising in Tracy Arm.

I think this is what people are talking about

Cruise Glacier Bay

Current cruise lines authorized to operate in Glacier Bay are:

Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, Seabourn, and Carnival Cruise Lines. Additional information regarding vessel quotas and the park's vessel management program is available at:

In addition to these lines, there are several small cruise ship lines that have access to Glacier Bay that are also allowed to overnight there. They operate under a different type of permit.

Thank you everyone for this valuable input. It sounds as if we need to weight Glacier Bay vs not.

Our previous Alaska cruise included Juneau, Sitka, Haines, Hubbard Glacier, and Tracy Arm. We are wanting to expand to additional ports/fiords, and we realize those we already visited are pretty standard and will be visited again.

This cruise adds Kodiak, Seward, Icy Straignt, Port Rivers, and Wrangell above where we have travelled.
