Has anyone heard about a gentleman who was touring the fort on March 25 who fell several feet while descending the stairs? He had to be airlifted to Miami. I do not know if he was on a cruise ship or not. My family was on the tour and saw him fall. Just concerned.

Cruise ships are not in port long enough for a Dry Tortugas trip. He wouldn't have been a passenger.

One can reach Fort Jefferson using Seaplanes of Key West and it is a 4 hour trip so it is entirely possible.

Bhopal, love the avatar!

Yes, the seaplane is a quick enough turn around for cruise passengers to take, and my recommendation for anyone going out there unless they are camping.
