wheelchair accessibility

Recommended Posts

we are heading western carib on allure, nov 11. Have any of you booked tours that were legitimately wheelchair accessible? Chris us paralyzed so this means no stairs for us, we need a wheelchair accessible cab/van from airport to hotel to pier and vice versa and also one on tours.

we know are cabin is accessible on allure as we have stayed in it before, but chris truly wants to touch the ocean. Thoughts or reccomendations? Have you used a private tour that worked out?

Best wishes on your cruise - and I hope you find what you are looking for.

I found a couple links that might help

If the ship stops at Barbados- http://fullyaccessiblebarbados.com

And another article mentioned that several other islands were adding or improving beach access for disabled persons, as an "improving the experience" initiate to increase travel.

And this from Friendly Planet - https://www.lonelyplanet.com/caribbean/travel-tips-and-articles/surprise-everyone-can-explore-a-more-accessible-caribbean/40625c8c-8a11-5710-a052-1479d27691f8
