My mom and I are visiting Halifax and St. John's on the 4th and 5th of June. Not sure what level of warmth to pack, am thinking it won't be very warm yet, but have no idea. Not concerned about what to pack for the cruise ship, as it's our 4th cruise, but we always explore our ports, and want to avoid over packing items we will never pull out of the suitcase. 3 years ago we cruised to Alaska in June, and found beautiful warmer days which were not expected. So any advice would be appreciated! thank you

I am going around the same time. I am going to try to pack layers. We had the same issue in Alaska, one day cold the other day we are laying by the pool. I bought rain jackets that fit in a pouch and a water proof lightweight backpack (also fits in a pouch). So far the weather looks colder than normal.

I am from AZ and have never been to the east coast. I hear that NYC has a lot of humidity. What about these other ports? I have looked at the history for these ports, but was not sure if the normal temperature is 70 degrees, will it be humid and feel more like 80 or 90?

I have a feeling that because I am from AZ no matter what I will freeze (which I am very much looking forward to).

No, 70 won't feel like 80 or 90. But high 80s and 90s could feel like 100. You will also have ocean breezes many places in port.

Being from AZ, unless you are crusing New England and the maritime Canadian provinces in July or August, you will feel cold in sleeveless tops and shorts. Plan accordingly.
