Texansonboard Posted April 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2018 Does anyone know if there are extra blankets in the Vista Suites (Volendam), for use on the balcony in Alaska? Or, should I plan to bring one? My mother is always cold. Thanks!
sail7seas Posted April 19, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 19, 2018 If you want more blankets than are in your cabin, ask your cabin steward. that is a common request and is quickly seen to.

Additional blankets can be requested from your Room Steward.
Krazy Kruizers Posted April 19, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 19, 2018 On many Alaskan cruises, the cabin stewards usually leave Plaid wool blankets in the cabin for use on your balcony. If there isn't one or two there, just ask your cabin steward for them. I have also seen them at the pool areas where most of the towels are piled. OlsSalt Posted April 20, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 20, 2018 I have usually found the plaid woolen blanke ts in the cabinet beside the couch near the verandah door. Yes, that is where I find them too - the lamp table by the verandah door. Looks like it might be the refrigerator cabinet but that is where the wool lap blankets have been. They are "short", but make a big difference.
sail7seas Posted April 20, 2018 #7 Share Posted April 20, 2018 When my dh's feet hung out the bottom of those plaid blankets, I draped another to keep him warm

sail7seas Posted April 20, 2018 #10 Share Posted April 20, 2018 We had blue ones on Masdam a few times for our Canada/ NE cruises. I don't recall what we had on Rotterdam.
