"worth it" all depends on how much you will consume. I find our liquor/coffee/water/soda etc tab runs about $30 per person per day. This is well under the $60 Princess charges for the package. Both figures do not include tip. So we do not buy it.

 

Liquor for taking home can be bought in the duty free shop. That is delivered to your cabin the last evening.

 

If you want a bottle for your cabin, it is available thru room service. Bottles are 375ml and are much more expensive that the duty free ones.
