Countdown discrepancy?

This is the most trivial of questions:

Cruise Critic and Princess show different "days before departure"countdowns. For example, today (6-8), CC shows 43 days to go while Princess shows 44 days. I've done the guzintas, and Princess is correct; it's 44.

Why is CC wrong? Does the software just presume that we'll fly out the day before (we will, making CC technically correct as to the start of our trip)? If we were leaving out of Long Beach, CA, we wouldn't travel the day before, it's only 50 miles away.

Inquiring minds want to know (toldja it was a trivial question!).

I don't think so. Can't speak to Princess, it's not as granular as Cruise Critic (only days, vs. CC's days, hour, minutes, and, yes, seconds), but CC is counting down to 4:00 PDT, exactly two days before the scheduled sail-away date and time.

I guess I should log back into Princess after 4:00, and see if it counts down a day
