Icelandic volcano

Indeed but apparently we would all choke to death within 15 mins.

And you may be the lucky ones, it is likely Katla, which is overdue an eruption, if this one goes it could be bad, we had a glacier walk on the one that erupted in 2011ish and the guide explained about Katla and how Icelanders were very wary about it.

When the last volcano went up we cancelled a fly / stay resort holiday and saw a cruise advertised from Southampton on Oceana. We cancelled the land holiday (lost the deposit) but still had a cheaper holiday on one beautiful ship. Haven't looked back since ! ;)

I first heard the warning about Katla immediately after the last eruption happened with Eyjafjallajokull- how everyone was waiting because it was overdue.. well, that's a few years back now. Nobody knows.

I think the 15 mins warning is for people hiking on the volcano.
