Howdy,

What is/was your times of your Drinks Ordered to Delivery in the Casino?

We just got off the (SMOKeY) Carnival Horizon.(Kinda like the Smoking TwighYOUlight Room..eh..)

Well now the absurd.. with so many Gamblers aboard , reduced rates , etc.. An oberservation most of them did not even smoke.

The wait staff was 2 -3 bartenders behind the Casino bar wait staff was I think 4-5 at most during the timeswith full tables and machines..

Our shortest Drink Order , mine is usually Double Jack Straight UP^ (BTW, they only provide a Single), my XYLs is Pina Coloda or that Italian drink Campari a bitter, well of the full week (8 nights) we ordered only about 12 in total. The Best time from order to service was 27 minutes. The worst time ..kinda ironic was when a Casino Hostess from Peru I had known before ordered one for me, that took 64 minutes.. You would think coming from her, a Casino Host for me it would have been hastened.. IMHO this RAPola is done to keep players playing ..or they just do not give a DARN..

BTW I met a 93 yr old woman with a drink coupon , as youall have had , and we had again. She said the bar would not honor it.. I suggested she get a Waiter. I did not see any or I would have tred that for her. Our coupons we used at dinner FIXED. thats another story. A oz. of Jack Daniels seved in a Rock Glass sure looks paltry.. a Pina Coloda with no alcohol either?

..

What are your times and experiences?

My recent cruises (mostly on RCI) have been under 5 minutes order to drink in hand. Often A server has approached after I just ordered with someone else. They all knew my drinks of choice. The prompt response may have been due to their appreciation of the constant tips for each and every drink:confused:

On Carnival Fantasy a few weeks ago, I’d say the time generally ranged from 5-10 minutes (15 minutes when it was super busy in the casino). I tip a dollar per drink when I order with my DOU card, and have always had fantastic cocktail service on board.

Dear PigsCanFly,

Awesome I guess Monroe County, NY hel[ped u on RCL :NYSE . On those lines I think they hire more staffing and a lot less smoking. The staff in a Smoke Filled Casino is as NY vs Pa. Casinos. Yes youall are UpState.:D

Dear samiam0403<

Yes , Thank you. On the Fantasy a smaller size does help and thge Staff to Passenger Ratio as well

Tipping CASH always helps, usually.

On our latest HOIZON, Carnivals largest ship still. The staff size really IMHO needs to increase and/or put more staffing in the CASINO when so so many of us Gamblers were in the CASHInO, even the CASHIERS Line was almost to the ESPN Sports bar down the deck .

Maybe a fluke ( not that tasty fish, eh) . On the VISTA as well new out r/t NYC/NY it was pee pot poor service too.

Maybe they were not prepared well. On the VISTA they ran out of KAHLUA for my XYL the third day.. ;p

Have only done one Carnival Premiere cruise earlier this year. If you go during the day it was always quick, every 15 minutes or so. Later in the evenings, say 11 PM it would be super busy so maybe 30 minutes or more. I would order a Fosters because it was the largest beer then go up and enjoy it with some late night pizza.

Also I tipped $1 every drink.

I'm trying to think of what else is the best "bang for your buck" drink orders for DOU card. I'm not a big fan of Fosters but I'd order it because it was the largest beer. Maybe I should order Long Island Ice Teas.
