Stockholm terminal to Airport

We are a family of 4 with lots of luggage who need to get from the Frihamnen port in Stockholm to Arlanda for our flight home after our cruise this summer. We don’t need to rush and it doesn’t look like our cruise ship will be selling a bus excursion to take us there. Any recommendations on a good, reasonably priced way to get us there? Will there be large vehicle taxis waiting at the port? Should we reserve one?:confused:

I usually reserve a taxi in advance, but that is not necessary. If you use a serious firm they will give you a fixed price (same price from one pic-up-place all over Stockholm City straight to Arlanda). You can book through an account (free), use an app or call them. I made a test now by using the app and a taxi for 2-4 persons cost 545 SEK total. A larger taxi for 7-9 persons cost 815 SEK total. Be aware of all small taxi firms trying to charge tourists ten times more! It's a dirty business sometimes.

The exact adress of the passenger/cruise terminal in Frihamnen (at 638) is "Frihamnsgatan 66" (= Magasin 9) which is easier for the taxi drivers to find on their geo maps. Then you need to know which terminal you are going to at Arlanda.

There is also an alternative way, but more expensive. Take bus 1 to City Terminal and change to the train Arlanda Express. Takes about 20 min to Arlanda. https://www.arlandaexpress.com/

Thanks very much for the info. We are 4 adults with 3 large and 4 carry on pieces. I’m not sure that this will fit in a regular taxi. Maybe I will find another couple on our cruise to share the larger vehicle.

It depends on the taxi type, but it seems a little bit too much to me. If you chose a larger one it will be more like a minivan ("shuttlebus") type.
