have been on 3 princess cruises lately from new york city and FLL, and had no problem carrying soda on ships. Get a cloth bag from your grocery store ( or princess travel bag ) put your sodas in the bag , tag it for your cabin and leave with your luggage for the porters at the port.

Seems alot easier that putting it in checked luggage

Well that's good news. A case of Coke fits nicely into one of my carry-on bag, and I can just put a tag on the bag and have it delivered to my room.;) Thanks for the info.

We bought a flat of bottled water, and attached a luggage tag directly to the plastic wrap covering the flat. It made it to our cabin just fine! I also saw a few other passengers with boxes of pop that they either carried on, or taped luggage tags to. I wouldn't bother putting them in your luggage. Takes up too much space! Enjoy your cruise!

I have also "checked in" water and regular 12 pack Coke (after reinforcing with duct tape) no problem. WE have also witnessed longshoreman MISHANDLING bags inside the cruise center in San Pedro. As if throwing for distance, watched a guy throwing bag after bag from one side of luggage floor to the other 24 feet plus. Don't think pressurized soda would last long
