Summit Oct/18

We are sailing Oct/18 out of San Juan. Has anyone gone to Dominica (2018) lately? There are very few shore excursions offered on any site. Is anything close to the port so we can walk off and do a bit of shopping and site seeing.Thanks for your help

That island is still recovering from the major hurricane damage. I don’t think anyone knows what will be open this coming season. So if you get an answer from people who visited in previous seasons just keep that in mind.

I emailed the shorex desk, and they said they are confirming with local tour operators to see what is available, and operating.

Carnival had it's first ship call there on the 10th (Fascination), but have not seen any live reviews. I am keeping my eyes open on their forums for updates or reviews from cruisers on that sailing. We sail on the 10th of November. We have one excursions showing, a dolphin and whale adventure.
