Hey

Just booked the Hotel 140 using Hotwire and got the great deal listed below.

Rate per night $188.00 x 3 nights

Subtotal $564.00

Tax recovery charges + fees $114.93

Hotwire total $678.93

This hotel feature the following amenities:

Free Internet - Smoke-free rooms - Fitness center - Business center - Self-service laundry - Internet access - In-room accessibility - Accessible bathroom

The total listed above is at least $250 off the best rate I was finding at sites like Hotels.com and Expedia. Does not look like it is the fanciest hotel, but does rate 4* out 5* at Tripadvisor and the location looks good, plus it has free internet (like to use to plan my day on public transit).

If I bid on priceline and then want to leave my car at the hotel how does that work? I see on most hotel sites they charge extra for a cruise park package but how does that work with priceline? Thanks

If you require a park and stay, it would be a gamble using Priceline. You could call the hotel after you win and ask them about parking. Some charge a daily fee. Some don't charge and ask you to park at the back of the lot. Usually I end up parking at the pier if I use Priceline

One word of warning.  Some of the hotels, in particular LaQuinta, included in Priceline's hotels "Express Deals" are extremely "dog friendly" in that they allow BIG dogs that shed in most, if not all of their rooms, We are dog owners/lovers and were disgusted when the LaQuinta hotel room we "won" on Priceline had as many dogs as people and the carpet, walls etc. showed it.
