NYC weather Sunday

We are supposed to fly into New York on Sunday afternoon for a cruise on Tuesday.

DL just sent me a message saying there are free changes because they anticipate issues.

Any comments or opinions to help me make a decision whether to change flights would be greatly appreciated.

Supposed to be crappy weather here with rain and thunderstorms but nothing that we don’t deal with on a regular basis. The worst of it is supposed be be done by Sunday morning. I think you’ll be fine.

The DL website said they expect impacts to be on the 12th and 13th. Which doesn’t correspond to what they are saying on wunderground (and what you are hearing).

We are on an RJ.

Could they perhaps be trying to move off some of us on flights that could make it in to make room for the cancellation fill ins? I’ve never had a free change alert..so this has me stressed.
