Am a Nikon guy going way back to late 1960's. Had at one time up to three Nikon FM/FE bodies and several nice lens (including 105mm f1.8) until making the digital switch around 2003. Love the digital quality and options of today. Glad to be beyond the old days of needing to change that 36 exp. film and not know what you really got as you were taking pictures on travel adventures.

I now have a Nikon D3100 that does a great, 14mp file size to allow lots of quality and editing, plus Nikon 18-55mm, 55-300mm lenses and a 10-20mm Sigma wide angle. This camera also has 1080HD video capability that works well with our new grandson and another grandchild due August 1. In most cases, I shoot in the program or auto setting, letting the camera do the work on settings and focus so that I can be more concerned on framing and subject options. Had a Nikon D50 prior to getting the D3100.

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio
