Live from Holland America's Oosterdam: 4 Ways the Ship is Staying Young

We were recently on the Oosterdam on a one week Alaska cruise (we had sailed on it a few years earlier), and we found it to be in fine shape with no issues with the bedding or furniture. The Sel de Mer was fabulous and we really enjoyed the Billboard Online and even the BBKing. The reviewer commented about the lack of Karaoke; and we've found that karaoke is pretty much gone on HAL ships. We were recently on the Harmony of the Seas, and it was a happening event for that younger age demographic. Some of the singers were really good.

The comments make me wonder if I made a mistake booking the Oosterdam for two weeks in 2019, after an absence from HAL ships since 2013. I sort of missed HAL after trying multiple NCL ships, and thought I'd try it again. I won't change my mind about the booking, I just hope HAL pays attention to what today's passengers want to see aboard ship.;)
