We have booked a Panama Canal cruise through Princess for Nov. 11, 2014. I mistakenly thought that Princess had transfers with LAX and LGB when I booked our air to LGB. Does anyone know the best (cheapest) way to get to the pier from LGB? There will be 5 of us.

You'd have to arrange a shuttle pickup. LGB is very small so there might not be a shuttle waiting for fares.

Could take two cabs.

taxifarefinder.com will give you an approximate fare. We've always found the estimate to be on the high side.

It's a flat rate of $45 for a cab.

I suggest also checking the price of a rental car with drop off at San Pedro.

The only rental car company that is located near (not at) the pier in San Pedro is Enterprise, and they have a pretty hefty drop fee for any rental not started at their location. I would stick to Supershuttle, and book either a shuttle van or their town car service.

Do you know how much they charge for the drop fee ? That information would be a big help to OP and others.
