We will be disembarking from Anthem on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018 (Labor Day Weekend.) Is there enough time to make an 11:30 a.m. flight out of EWR? What's the best way to get from the cruise terminal to the airport? Taxi? Lyft?

We are long time cruisers, but this is our first time cruising out of Bayonne and needing to catch a flight. TIA for any help.

You should self disembark. Your transportation options are car Service, shared shuttle or taxi from the taxi dispatcher or Uber or Lyft. Taxi/car service will run $55-70, shared shuttle is $20/pp, and Uber/Lyft is whatever they are quoting at the time - probably $30-40.

Anthem doesn't say they have a shuttle to EWR. Is there a private one?

There is a taxi dispatcher at Cape Liberty for the Bayonne livery cars (taxis and private livery cars). They offer shared shuttle service to EWR as well as private livery cars to EWR and other destinations.

In addition RCL should be offering a cruise Bus transfer to EWR as well as post cruise excursions to New York with a drop off at EWR, LGA, or JFK.

Thank you, just trying to decide on the after cruise tour or just getting to EWR , or weather to rent a car...

Even if you rent a car, you still have to get to EWR at some point. Wherever you go with a car, you will have to pay some tolls plus hefty parking fees (unless you do the SOL from Liberty State Park). When you figure out all the costs, it's an expensive way to get luggage storage for the day.

Good to know...We don't have tolls and a lot of parking fees where we are from. We were just thinking of staying in the Newark area, but that may be just a hassle.

There really aren't a lot of sights to see in Newark. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g46671-Activities-Newark_New_Jersey.html It's a highly urban industrialized area with some very sketchy areas. The big attraction is really New York City.
