I read many pages here & appreciate all the info since i had no idea about these gift cards, but my emails dont have codes to earn points & when i go to website there are many quiz opportunities but no reward point attached to most of them. How do you know what quizes give awards? Tyvm in advance for the help.

Donnalaka, make sure you are in the Rewards For Good section of the website. The AARP home page has quizzes but as you noted, they often don't have points associated with them. Click on Rewards for Good near the top of the page, and then click on Start Earning Points. That will take you to a page that has many quizzes, and all of them that I have tried do have points.

Ok. So I purchased $500 Ecard. What are my options now? Print out receipt and take it with me on my cruise? Add to my existing reservation? What is the safest ways to handling this?

If you haven't paid off your cruise, then apply it to your cruise balance. If you've paid your balance & grats, then you can buy the drink packages if you wish, picture packages, if you are one who uses Carnival for excursions then you can get an excursion, anything. If you don't want any of that, then you can just hang onto it and take the numbers+pin with you when you go on your cruise and use it to pay for your onboard spending.

Got it! It wasn't until you mentioned the pin that I went back to the email and saw the "actual card" with the GC number and pin. Prior to that I printed out the receipt from AARP and it did not show number/pin. Thank you!

You can use the GC online to pay for any purchases, including your fare, taxes, tips, excursions, Fun Shop purchases, Cheers, etc. You cannot add it to your account (in excess of purchases) online but you can when you board. (if that makes sense.)

The one thing we can't do is add funds to our S&S accounts prior to the cruise. Well, unless you use the gift cards to buy Cruise Cash. Any Cruise Cash you buy will already be credited to your account when you get on board. The downside to Cruise Cash is, it's only good for that sailing and is non-refundable (unless you know how to cash out with it in the casino).

If you take the gift cards with you to add to your S&S account, it can be done at Guest Services or from a kiosk. Keep in mind, any balance left over that was originally deposited using a gift card is refunded on a gift card (unless, again, you know how to cash out in the casino).

You receive two emails when purchasing. The first is a receipt/order confirmation; the 2nd says "You've received an eGift card". The second one is the one that gives you the giftcard number and PIN. When you apply it to your cruise balance (or excursions, drink programs or anything purchased through your cruise manager) those are the numbers you use. If you bring it on your cruise to apply to your sign and sail card, that 2nd email is the one you would print and bring with you! Hope that helps!

How long have the $500.00 cards been taking via UPS?

Sail Saturday the 5th?

I ordered a $500 one on 4/13 and it got delivered 4/19. You have to make sure someone is home though. They require a signature of someone 21 or older if you order $500 or more.

It's not often that the $500 cards are available by email, but they are right now! Just purchase it now and there will be no worry about it getting to you in time! Bon voyage!

That's a long time, too long I'd say. Anything under $500 is delivered USPS and typically takes around a week, give or take. Did you keep the receipt they sent you? You might want to call and see if they can track it.

Does anyone know if you can use these GCs with a TA to apply payment towards a cruise? We have booked through a TA.

Yes, you can use gift cards to make payments to TA. When you make a payment, the TA is logging into the Carnival system to put in your credit card info on your behalf. They can easily do the gift card instead. There may be some TA's out there that do things differently, like have you write a check to them and they make payment out of their company account. But I wouldn't think many, if any.

Can these be used to purchase reservations at one of the onboard restaurants? Thanks!

Yes! It can be used for pretty much anything Carnival. Just apply the gift card to your sign and sail account and you will have that credit available to use.

Perfect, thank you! And how do you go about “cashing out” from the casino if you have leftover in your S&S?

I haven't done it, so I'm not speaking from first-hand experience, but just going off of what others have said. You insert your S&S card into a slot machine, add the funds to you casino player's bank, and spin a couple of times (to make it look legit, because apparently they catch on). Then cash out with the cashier.
