New Casino Royale Tier System

Recommended Posts

I would use caution believing the call center. We booked our last cruise via CR and was told “sure if you got free drinks no service fee last cruise you will get it again”. Boarded the Brillance last week and was told “nope.” Since my last cruise was a 3 night and under the old rules I took the casino managers ruling and just saved money by not getting any more out than I brought.

Side note was pleased to see new slot machines installed on our cruise (some mighty cash and wonder tower)

I had to call CR about something else today and while I had the rep on the phone, I asked about the program.

She said that emails started going out yesterday. Has anyone gotten one ? I have not.

She indicated that the shore side (meaning HER and her colleagues) had not yet gotten information on individual player information. I don't really believe that but I am sure that is what she was told to say.

Since I am cruising within the week, she said that "everything will be already loaded onto my Seapass" whatever that means. Presumably, any amenities, to which I would be entitled, will be preloaded. Not sure what that would be, really, except perhaps the free drinks and convenience fee waiver. Maybe the internet discount ? I won't need any of that anyway so I don't know how I would find out if it's loaded or not.

So really, no news at all.

Not me. No email yet.

Just called Casino Royale to see where my e-mail was (not those fake snarky e-mails some posters have been putting on here).

The response I got was that the e-mails would be going out but that if you are on a ship now or soon to be (19 days for me!!!) the ship would have all of the information.

Is anyone on a ship now and can confirm or deny?

Thanks,

I’m on Radiance right now and all the Casino Host could tell me is that they’re rolling out the program to only a few ships at a time and Radiance is not one of them. She said everything else is the same. Once again, no one knows what’s going on.

I got the opposite info yesterday and today. Yesterday they told me the email would definitely NOT got out on Sunday but would go out on Monday. Today, I called (for another matter) and also asked about the email and new program. We are sailing in a few days and she tells me my benefits will be based on the play from the most recent cruise only. Unfortunately for me, it was an unexpected three day cruise, the day after a two week B2B, so I had relatively little play. She tells me not to expect any benefits. She tells me the new program will not be in effect when I sail, later this week.

Guess I'll see.

Take a chill pill, snarky fake email, was tongue in cheek.

Relax:cool:

I thought you posted way back emails were being sent out in February from a reliable source.

I got mine today.;)

The question is was it snarky and fake from Royal or fake and snarky;p

Reliable source was Casino Royale line which as we see is not very reliable.

As for snarky I think that word works. Snide posts are ok and we can laugh.

FWIW: Called Club Royale today to book a sailing and inquired about the new program. The rep said the e-mails will be going out at any moment. She also said I would be very pleased with this new program. We'll see.........

How can they roll out a tier program, that the benefits are good for a year, only be on some ships? Most people cruise on all different ships thought the year. Does that mean they will be entitled to tier drinks/benefits on one but not the other? I think she just didn't know, and that was the easiest answer at the time.

Because they can. The can always fix it by using the IT department.

Exactly! When I asked, all I was told was that that’s what they were told. I asked the Casino Manager yesterday and he said the same thing. I’m verrrryyyyyyy frustrated.

When I called CR yesterday (for a different issue) I asked AGAIN about the program. This rep told me that the casino managers and hosts/hostesses on the ships had all the information on the new program already and that most of the ships would be implementing the program onboard ASAP. I told him that I was cruising on Allure next week and he said that the host/hostess there would have all of our information when we board.

I'm kinda with Gaylemh on this one...I think they tell you whatever will most likely get you off the phone the quickest, so whether or not it's true is a toss-up. I guess I will find out on Sunday.

I don't really need the drinks or the internet (both are included in my cruise fare). I just hope they waive my 5% convenience fee. If they do that, I will be happy.

I have been on the phone several times this week with CR - all on different matters about upcoming cruises. Each time I asked about the upcoming changes on the tiers and every single time I got a different answer - from any minute now to possibly by May.

Basically they have no idea - it's a waste to ask them - they will only tell you what you want to hear.

When the one operator told me by May and I mentioned I'm cruising this month - suddenly May became April.

They just don't know. When we find out - it will be as much a surprise to them, as to us.

You're so right. Even if I could take a cruise every year it might necessarily be with RC. They told me certificates are one year, but the status is based on last 18 months. The agent tried to tell me it's like regular casinos that require your account to be active at least once a year. Not exactly the same since I can drive out to the casino and play, and don't have to commit 7 days on a vacation.

I think they're forgetting the fact that it's vacation first, casino is entertainment. It would be foolish for me to spend $5000 at the casino to gain $750 credit for a future cruise....

Thanks so much. Looks like what was posted in December is correct so your confirmation is appreciated. Should get my tier level next week on Allure - although like you I'm sure it is Prime.

Just got my VIP sticker. First cruise harmony is doing with the new tiers. Waitress came over. Any scotch I wanted no charge. Different the. What was said about types of drinks available
