What is the most disgusting thing you have seen fellow passengers do?

Recommended Posts

Seen a guy cleaning his balcony glass with his toilet brush. I was on an aft balcony on the Liberty, looked to the left and there he was.

Was also on the Freedom and walked up on a couple having sex in the hotub on serenity while we were in port in Costa Rica.

I have no problem with people blowing their nose into the napkin. I have issue with these people then twirling their napkins during the wait staff singing/dancing. I lovingly call the dining room entertainment "The Dirty Napkin Dance". It isn't gross until you have food/snot land on your plate while you are still eating. I now cover my plate when the singing starts.

Oh my goodness Rosefloater. You have my whole family laughing at this!

Some of us so hard, we had to run to the restroom.

The grossest thing I have seen is people in bare feet go into public restrooms, this seems super gross to me but then again I wear water shoes in the pool in the lake and in the ocean. The only places I go in bare feet is my own shower.

Parents letting their little kids use their empty beer bucket as a toilet.

I guess they were too lazy to take them to the bathroom.

This takes the cake. winner winner. I have never seen anything like this and I hope I never do.

I once saw a man with large breasts, lift one up with one hand, and the other hand popped his boils. He then proceeded to smell his fingers and wipe the blood/puss on trunks. When he was done with both breasts, went in the pool.

How's that for ruining your pool time!

Years ago when they still had the midnight buffet we saw a lady with several plates of food in front of her. She proceeded to chew the food, spit it out in her hand and line it up on the plates. 🤢

I can't imagine being the one to clean those plates up!

In the solo gross competition, this story is the current leader in the clubhouse. In the family category, the wee ones, (pun intended) urinating in the beer bucket is the current leader.

Yeah, these are all gross, but there are two standard answers: 1. "it is my cruise and I will do what I want" and 2. We dare not confront a passengers, they might not sail with us again and we want their money.

Never forget! There are rules, but the most important rule from Carnival is: We never enforce our own rules.

OMG...I believe them all...Have seen them too over 27 years of cruising!

And to add...I have never, ever, ever eaten at Lido. I'll grab a Guy's Burger or a sandwich at the Deli...that's it as far as buffet's for me...LOL

In this person's defense, she may have had a feeding tube. There are a number of medical conditions where one's esophagus is removed. She may have been unable to swallow, but wanted to taste the food. In my case, I absolutely cannot eat red meat if i want to live to my next cruise. I have been known to take a bite of steak, chew it and spit it out, admittedly in a not-so-public manner.

I don't see what's wrong with this. Maybe he was saving it for later? Bacon is good to eat later in the day. He had it wrapped up so it's not like it was getting dirty.

We saw a few Asian women take hard boiled eggs, the little boxes of cereal, small cartons of milk, bananas and crossiants all out of their knapsack while on a bus tour! Really. Guess no one told them lunch was included. And no it wasn’t their breakfast because I saw them at the breakfast buffet.

This is incorrect. Some rules are strictly enforced. Example: committing violence onboard. Passenger will be confronted, escorted off ship at next port, and money is no object because they will never again be permitted to sail.

Rules that do not matter are not always enforced, like smuggling booze or reserving pool chairs.

;p:'):')

I was on a cruise some years ago and I was taking the stairs. On my way up I passed two couples dressed in suits and dresses waiting to enter a venue. As I rounded the curve to continue up the stairs one of the husbands, never leaving the conversation, hiked one hip up in the air and passed gas. It was loud and not one of those people acted like that just happened. I shook my head and continued on.

Ewww! 😮😮 But reading that made me lol 😂😂

Removal of gratuities and the way some passengers speak to the crew

Could not agree more... all the other stuff may be disgusting but to hear people become nasty with front-line employees who are basically indentured servants is repulsive.

Royal Majesty 11/16/12 Bud Light Cruise

Carnival Legend 11/17/13

Carnival Glory 3/9/14

Carnival Dream 10/19/14 WSOP Cruise

Carnival Valor 1/11/15

Carnival Horizon 4/13/18!!!!

I think drunk people on cruise ships is the most disgusting thing. Does that mean all alcohol should be removed from the ships? No I have no right to tell other guest what they can or cannot drink.

If the legal actions of others, removal of optional service fees affects someone they have every right to stay home. Passenger only purchase their cruise, what happens between other passengers and the cruise line is not your business.

While you may think it’s “none of our business”, when you publicize your opinion or behavior in a public forum, others have the same opportunity to comment on those opinions or behaviors.

Keep sharing your viewpoints but don’t expect others not to tell you what they think of them.

.

I agree in that if you prevent drunkenness, then you prevent a large percentage of poor behavior. I have often thought it might be a good thing for Carnival to lessen the number of drinks allowed per day with Cheers (price too, obviously). That isn't going to happen though. Profit trumps responsibility with most all companies. Also, drunks are looser with their money, so Carnival is willing to put up with them.

Other options to avoid "the trays" at the buffet would be Blue Iguana Cantina, the Pizza Pirate or a cooked to order omelette. Hoping the lunch set up at the new BBQ place on the Horizon is similar to the Cantina instead of self serve trays.

If they ever got rid of alcohol your cruise price would double.
