As approach the time when the brochure launch come around (usually week three April), normally Sailaway has some good info on both locations of ships & itineraries. Any news yet sailaway? Also I Marella realise that they can't keep pushing up prices, whilst reducing staff numbers and cut backs onboard.

Is it the discovery 1 in corfu in 2019.anyone have any other information

Going to a pre-launch show at my local Tui shop, on the 28th March. This will include drinks, nibbles and a look at the brochures before being able to book on 5th April.

I think you will find that is so.

Discovery returns from the Asian cruise program arriving Corfu on May 5. 2019

So it makes sense to assume she is operating the Corfu summer program.

This is not necessarily the case. This year the Discovery sails from the Caribbean to Malaga (arriving early May) . This is however not the home port. It then sails on to Newcastle for a programme of Baltic and Norwegian fjord cruises.

Agreed, not necessarily the case but, as I said, reasonable to assume, in the same way that it is reasonable to assume that Explorer will homeport in Newcastle in early 2019 , as she sails there from the Caribbean via Southampton.

Think you are right. I noticed this after posting. Certainly hope this is the case as we live in the North East and would love to try the new ship.

Good for you getting the newer ships in your region. We are in Devon and it's either a 3 hour drag to Southampton or fly from Exeter, or long haul from Birmingham or Gatwick!
