Luggage Tags

Whats the best way to keep your paper luggage tags that you print from Carnival attached to your luggage?

Wrap then in Clear packing tape so they don't tear, then I staple them.

This is what we have. They work great. They are currently on our luggage now ready for tomorrow. :cool:. Sitting at the hotel by port of Miami waiting for morning to come. :D

Thanks so much,will use tape this since our cruise is on Monday. Those tags look like a great idea, will have to order some for future cruises.

Cover them with clear packing tape, hole punch the ends and use a twist tie to fasten them on the suitcase. The twist tie means no stapler needed, the tape gives them strength.

I use these as well.

Just fold and staple several times as designed.

Staple them at hotel just before we leave for the port.

Used to get cardboard ones from porters at piers but now that we are priority not a good idea

I tape, hole punch & affix with an elastic ponytail holder. I don't put them on until we leave for port - don't want them on there if we are flying. By using the elastic, I can take them off the suitcase once we are in the cabin & put them on my beach bag & backpack. I also make a reduced size tag to put on my camera strap. This is done in hopes that if I were to forget to grab my bag or camera, someone would be kind enough to turn it in.

Fold and tape both sides. Then wrap around handle and tape together. Very strong and water resistant.

Yup.

I bought luggage tag holders. So much more secure than taping. I’ve taped in the past and figured for $7 actual luggage tag holders were worth it.

My first cruise I check two bags. Stapled the paper luggage tag as directed( three on each bag) One bag did make to my cabin, with one tag remaining, the other go find. All the tags fell off. I now own holders.

I print mine on photo paper, which is thicker, then use gorilla tape wrapped around the tags. Very secure and won't tear easily and waterproof.

bought clear luggage tag holders years ago. Right size for cruise tags. Key is not to put them on until your at the port. Don't use them in flight. Son lost 2 that way. Just changed out ours today for next sailing.

I’ve used clear contact paper in the past, and stapled them on on my way to port. I have a tiny dollar store stapler I throw in my bag for this purpose. But the clear packing tape is a good idea - I’ll use that for my next cruise. Probably easier than contact paper!

Print your luggage tags, then take a photo of the tags. Make sure it's the first photo in your camera. We also put a copy of the tags INSIDE the luggage, just in case the tags come off.

I bought clear plastic cruise tag holders. I ordered mine from the Cruise Critic store, but my daughter bought hers on Amazon. Before I bought mine I would print them, cut them out and staple them together. Then I would laminate them by covering them with clear packing tape. I then used a hole punch and punched a hole and attached a shoe string. Then I would tie them to my luggage handle. But on our last cruise when the porter saw my plastic tags, he turned to my hubby and said “you have one smart wife! We like it when the passengers use these!”
